Wild Animals of the North Hardcover – June 7, 2016

I have always loved having great artwork books about animals and sciences which I keep on the coffee table. This is one of the best that I have found. The artwork is original by Dieter Braun. Something about his style brings to mind the beautiful artwork of the late Charley Harper. Mr. Braun's animals are instantly recognizable even though they are done in an abstract fashion with straight lines and hard angles.The subject of the book is animals that are indigenous to the northern hemisphere with the book separated into sections by continent: North America, Europe and Asia. Each animal is given a minimum of one page for illustration/description though many are spread across two pages. Gorgeous book that will be a perfect addition to our mammals unit. I love the illustrations so I will use it for art inspiration for my children as well.You will not be disappointed by this book!

My goodness what a big beautiful book! I am loving Nobrow Press ( Flying eye books). The illustrations are beautiful, the paper is perfection. Seems to be Nobrows go too, It's creamy and thick and the ink absorbs into it perfectly. I bought the companion book and just about every other book Nobrow offers. To all involved: please keep up the great work! personally i'm devouring up these printed pieces of art. Thank you!

This book is even more beautiful than I thought. My kids love it and so do I. It is also a lot bigger than I thought which is great. I'm considering buying another copy so I can frame multiple pages as art for my son's room. Flying Eye Books are the best! 141 pages

Great book, love the artwork

So great! ..though I wish there wasnt repeat of animals...like a few different kinds of dear...for example. A few other animals or similar animals, I am sure there are plenty of other animals that could have been chosen, but that is just my preference.

Framed some of the pictures for the playroom! The book is well thought out in the way that the large scale prints are double sided so taking out those pages are not a hinderance on the actual reading of the book and there for are not missed.

Beautiful and great quality. I have bought this several times as a gift for children.

Great graphics by the illustrator. A modern but entertaining display of animals of the world. My young one is captivated and helps him learn new words and make visual associations.

Over 100 pages of gorgeous full-colour illustrations! This book has a textural quality and a depth of style that is absolutely fantastic

The pictures alone, are breathtaking! Well worth the price of the book. As a bonus, my 6 year old loves the animal details included with the majority of the illustrations.
