Freeze Dried Apples, Net Wt 3oz (85g)

I have ordered this and several other flavors many times now & I have to say they are wonderful. There is a large amount put into a quart container. You dont realize just how light freeze dried fruit is! People are complaining about the size, but it is exactly the size they depict & describe. I personally would love a larger size availability, but for now, it's great. The price seems expensive, but after comparing store size & brands, it's pretty reasonable, plus the fact that freeze dried fruit tends to be more expensive. The apples do come diced, but I kind of liked that. If you like to snack right from the container-which by the way is cute & reusable, it makes it seem as if you're eating more than you are! They use Granny Smith mostly, but Red Delicious as well, I believe. There are no skins, but occasionally you get the slightest of skin to show green or red. Such a great flavor. As for the fruit dust at the bottom-the amount varies each order, & certainly doesn't affect the amount of fruit you receive. It barely weighs anything. It's dust. I actually eat the dust as well, it flavors things nicely. Just about every flavor comes with that dust. As far as the packaging-I have had no qualms with it or the safety of the fruit. The cap tends to prove difficult to open & does have a sealing paper/styrofoam cover underneath. I could eat these all day. I generally mix each of the different flavors into a small bowl to eat. This makes them last longer. As if I can resist them!

Rehydrated well, tasted tart, but today I soaked them in cinnamon sugar water and they were excellent in my oatmeal. Wish they weren't so tiny though.

I got this for my two birds and they love it I also eat it every once in awhile and its good

OK for the price. A little chewy. I use them for baking. They are fine for baking.

I'm not a fan of apples, but my husband is, and he loved these! The size of the container was perfect for him, and the quality was spot on! Would definitely buy again.

I would have returned them if I could. They were extremely poor quality. Full of apple peels and dust. Apples not even fully diced. The container was half the size of what I was expecting. Some of the pieces were brown. I rarely buy things where I feel as though I’ve been ripped off but this was one of those times.

Love them my chinchillas are crazy for them
