American Standard4175300F15.075 Colony Soft PULL-DOWN Kitchen Faucet with 1.5 gpm Aerator, Stainless Steel

I have to think this American Standard Colony faucet is probably an OK faucet normally. Installation certainly seems easy. Or at least it should be. While trying to perform the simple task of tightening the single retaining nut which completes the mounting of the faucet onto the sink, I couldn't figure out why I couldn't get it to thread onto the shank of the faucet body. I was underneath the sink, reaching up, so I figured it was just me fumbling with the retaining nut and any second it would catch the threads and tighten up. No such luck. Finally had to give up. I removed the faucet from the sink and laid it on the counter. I tried threading the retaining nut onto the shank. Nothing doing. Turns out the threads on the retaining nut and the body of the faucet don't match. This means...impossible to install faucet. Next day I called American Standard and explained the problem. They offered to send me a replacement retaining nut, which would arrive in 7-10 days, Meanwhile, I have no working faucet on my kitchen sink. Uh...not too keen on that plan. I went out to several plumbing supply businesses - with my complete faucet - trying to find an aftermarket retaining nut that would allow me to complete the installation of the faucet. No luck.I set up an exchange with Amazon. They shot me out a replacement faucet right away. Guess what? Exact same problem!! I called American Standard and explained that I had two identical faucets with the exact same problem, that makes the faucet impossible to install. The phone rep seemed completely disinterested in the problem or in transferring me to anyone else, someone who might like to know about this. ("Maybe there's a bad batch", she said. Ya think? She offered to send me out a replacement retaining nut, which should arrive in 7-10 days.Needless to say, I packed both faucets up and returned them. Amazon issued a refund right away. By the way, I included notes in each returned box with explanations, and included my name, phone number, and email address. Haven't heard from anyone at American Standard.Subtracting 2 stars for lack of quality control, and 2 stars for questionable concern for both the customer and the product. That leaves one star.

Easy to install and give the kitchen a more modern look.

The faucet works perfectly.

Installed in less than an hour, including removing the old faucet. Very attractive in stainless steel. If you have appropriate water pressure, you will not notice the low-flow aerator when washing. The only time I notice it is when filling containers with water, but I consider the extra seconds worth it for the water savings. This low-flow version was also slightly cheaper than the normal-flow version at the time of purchase.To clear up any confusion, the pull-out head is not metal - it is plastic, but so is the expensive Moen at my office.

It is so much easier to hunt for the style, color, and durability ( in the reviews) online than standing in the store. I had to have the plate across the bottom to cover the three sink holes, the pull down sprayer is a favorite feature on mine and I like the handle attached on the side. I had many to choose from at a range of prices. This one was perfect as a replacement for the faucet is have now.

THIS IS THE LOW-VOLUME FLOW MODEL which I failed to notice before ordering, or installing even. Hardware makes it super easy to install. Supply lines for my sink come up from the base of the cabinet and the provided lines are not long enough to reach, so I had to buy a couple extensions to make the connections. Spray head is metallic-coated plastic.

Easy install. Handle positioned to right. May have to position handle to front since you get a bit of soap build up and suds run down side during rinsing process. Very pleased with pull down sprayer and SS finish. Bought replacement cartridge just so I have parts on hand. This unit is for a Park Model trailer but I may install one at my house down south. Happy Camper.

I don't know what all the fuss was about, but my product was good. It has been working perfectly since installation. The only problem was the 30 days delayed delivery but, once I got it, I had it installed and it works well.
