Ranger Ink Melt Art Heat It Dye Inks: Brilliant Gems

For transparent color, you can add these dye inks to melted clear UTEE (Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel) or to melted beeswax. You can add a little or a lot depending upon the intensity of color you want...but the color stays transparent. You can also mix dyes for other colors; for example, the citrine and sapphire will get you a shade of green. For opaque colors, you can either add a bit of white UTEE into the mix OR you can use the varieties of colored UTEE that are available. I usually use the dye inks because I find the UTEE colors to be a bit limited; although they do have several nice metallic shades. The dye inks will sizzle a bit when you put them into the hot UTEE in your melt pot but just stir them up and they'll be fine. These dye inks also come in a 3-pack called Organic Gems and a 3-pack called Luxurious Gems. I would generally buy this sort of stuff at my local craft store using one of their 40-50% discount coupons, but they haven't carried it in our location yet.

For the most part, these dyes worked like a charm. However, the yellow dye was not transparent- there were many an opaque chunk present in that bottle and no matter what I did, they chunks remained thick and undesired. I had a similar problem with the red, but it was only very slight.

the product has brilliant as well as lighter colors.i would recommend the product to anyone who has a melting pot.

Very claggy on opening, not sure if its supposed to be like that or it was just old stock, hard to get out of bottle

Everything Ranger does is good, this is no different. They are used with the melt pot, although you could heat embossing enamel in a foil tray with a heat tool from underneath and add these colours in.

I am loving the ranger heat it inks , all you need is a teeny drop and the colour is amazing
