These work well! I got them for my sister for her 21st birthday!

I have tried to use 3 of these, and they do not work at all! I tried to use one and when it did not work I called customer service, they sent a replacement and asked me to send in my faulty one. They ran tests and found it was faulty. When the replacement arrived, I tried to use it while out drinking. It again stayed at 0 after I took multiple shots, etc. I called again and asked to speak with a manager. They customer service agent said that managers do not want to speak with customers and just said they would send us another replacement to try. I tried the other one in the original pack in the meantime (I was saving it as a gift, but figured since they were not working, it probably would not be a good gift.) Surprise surprise…this one also does not read anything. (Note: I am drinking enough for a BAC tracker to pick up, and other brand ones have worked fine. This brand just does not work!)The most frustrating thing is that the gift was going to be for a family friend turning 21. This reader staying at 0 after people are drinking is dangerous! What if she used it after her first night drinking and thought it was safe to drive because this said 0 for her bac?!?!

My subsequent research tells me these are more a party novelty. The sensor is a semiconductor and not a Platinum cell. I bought the Element instead which is more professional and a platinum cell.

I bought these for my sister and I. To keep on or near our person and I also bought the BA6 unit (professional grade is advertised) for the car. After following the directions, these showed a BAC of .08. The BA6 showed a BAC of .05. I used them within 2 minutes of each other. Twice.This one at least err’d on the side of safety. I will use the BA6 for accuracy.It is durable to put in pocket also.

I've bought these in the past and they worked great. Thi sis the third tie I've bought them over the years actually. There 2 arrived looking normal but noth have died, even with replacing the battery to make sure that wasn't it, in the past 2 months. They were only used maybe 50 times maximum and now just beep and won't turn on. The advertisement says they will replace or fix within one year but I can find no way to contact the manufacturer and it's outside the amazon return window. If a moderator reads this please reach out and I will adjust this review with proper service. Thank you!
