Like a lot of products now it seems that the adhesives used do not stick very well. I don't know if companies are trying to save money by using less adhesive or just a lack of care in selecting materials. In any case this product does not have adequate adhesive on the backing, especially given how thick the material is. If the surface is not completely flat the material will bubble or peal up. Not what I wanted. Also, the top side is not very sticky either. I really only wanted the tape for protection so this was not a big deal to me but I do not think this would provide much traction when wet. Maybe more traction than fiberglass, glass, or other smooth surfaces but it does not seem to provide much traction at all.

Great product very strong adhesive, I used it around a cooler seat on a center console boatit did it's intended anti-slip use well and did a good job of disguising minor gelcoat damage to the area aroundthe cooler seat.

Directions say it has to be above 55 degrees to install. Thats not happening until spring time so I don't know how well this stuff works.

Easy to cut and size. Used on ladder on boat. Staying put and attractive. Easy to cut rounded edges.

bought a boat and wanted some grip for stepping on the boat. I used this around the top edge at key entry points. cut easy, flexible, worked just perfect.
