Birds love it!
My two cockatoos really like this; well, the Goffins plays with it more than anything, but I look at it like it’s a less expensive toy, lol!

Most of my parrots prefer this pellet
Most of my medium/large parrots will eat this pellet which is a feat by itself because birds that haven’t been raised on pellets typically don’t like them. I have only one that refuses this food. Oddly, they like the large size over the medium size pellet - even the smaller birds want the larger pellet. I mix in a little Goldenfeast and it makes a good daily feed for parrots.

Great for all sized birds!
I order the medium size and all our parrots, from a small conure to Amazons, to Goffin's & Umbrella Cockatoos, to a Macaw hold and eat these with no trouble whatsoever. They all love them! Definitely a little pricey, but for the quality of this food, it's worth it. Amazon is the best price I've found so far.

A high-nutrient, good-smelling, good-tasting (to parrots) pellet, with just the right crunch!
Most avian pellets are made by extrusion, a high-heat method that destroys many of the essential nutrients. Caitec Oven-Fresh Bites are one of only a couple brands of pellets that are baked, not extruded, so almost all the nutrients are left intact. We feed them for dinner, a certain number based on each bird's weight and consumption without wasting them (yes, we have a small enough rescue that we can do this!). All the large birds love them, and we even have a couple of African greys that eat the large size! They smell like fresh homemade cookies, and while I can't personally attest to the flavor, even our pickiest eaters clean their plates. They may cost a bit more than some other brands of pellet, but I wouldn't use anything but Caitec Oven-Fresh Bites for dinner, as a supplement to the raw, fresh foods and sprouts we feed our parrots!Caitec pellets seem to have a great "mouth feel" (beak feel?), which is part of their appeal, so if you see your bird eating a small part of each pellet and then just crunching up and dropping the rest, either they're full, or you might want to switch to the Caitec "medium" size.

Great product, terrible company
My parrot loves this product and it’s her main food source. Caitec, the manufacturer was back ordered on all oven baked products due to oven issues. When I found this on Amazon, I thought I had scored big time. I ordered it Nov 3. If I missed it was backordered then it’s my fault? But I didn’t see that. Several weeks late I went on line and saw that it didn’t have a ship date. Finally approx a week ago I received an email asking if I still wanted it. I did of course. It was received in a perfectly fine amazons box with this hole punched in both the original box and the pellets. I went to return/replace it. They do not accept returns. I’m taking $130. I am not comfortable feeding an open bag to my parrot.I did talk to Amazon and they credited me. I went to Caitec and they are back in stock so I placed my order with Caitec as I have for years. BEWARE Of this vendor, not the product itself.

Our parrots love this food however it got bugs in it.
We purchase the food in bulk due to the cost savings and store it in an airtight container. We have never had problems before however this time the food got bugs in it? Not sure if we should keep buying the same food?
