iFixit Minnow Precision Bit Set

What a fantastic bit of kit !! I don't usually need anything this small or precise, but I can see this getting a lot of use on tasks that I would usually avoid. Just a well made, well considered selection of bits and a very handy size driver handle. Nice magnetic closure and well marked sizes. I've never been this impressed by tools in aong time.

It’s not the cheapest but my goodness. What a difference from my previous ones. So easy to use. Can also keep pressure on whilst turning. Strong sturdy and in nice case. All the utilities you’d need

The Fixit Minnow Precision Bit Set Is A well made compact set. Was surprised at how compact it was. Pocket size and lightweight. Has all the bits I need to fix on the go without me needing to carry my bigger set with me.The new Polymer driver is nice and the top comes off and has A built in sim remover tool.You can also put about 2 to 3 bits inside it too.I also have the iFixit Essential Electronics Toolkit which has the precision Driver, Aluminum and it is the same size as the Polymer driver in the Minnow set but does not have the built in sim remover.The case is well made and the magnets keep it shut tight. I spent way too much time debating whether to get this (which I originally dubbed the "starter pack of screwdrivers") or level up to the next tier. But let me tell you—I have zero regrets. This thing is strong, compact, and gets the job done like a pro.Now, a couple of things to note:The handle is plastic. At first, I thought, Oh no, should I have gone for the fancy metal one? But after using it, I realized this thing is sturdy as a tank. So yeah, false alarm—plastic is actually great.Not really a downside, but more of a new addiction unlocked—now I want to expand the kit with more bits and attachments. I didn’t sign up for this level of screwdriver enthusiasm, yet here we are.Would I recommend it? 110%. Heck, let’s make it 111% just to be extra.

Great quality set in a nice storage case.

This iFixit kit was all I needed to build my PC, utilising a single PH1. I was blown away by the exceptional magnetism with this product - it served the purpose very well.The sleek and portable design makes this highly useful for electronic repairs on the go with such a wide variety of bits, and has quickly become a must have in my backpack at all times.

I like to tinker with things every now and again, taking gadgets apart just to put them back together for no reason. the minnow has helped me so much in my tinkering habits as well as general electronic repairs around the house. It is very versatile and the magnet is pretty strong and should allow you to pick up ferrous screws easily. The rubber handle is really nice and the sim ejector is a nice touch. It has really high quality bits and is small enough to put in your pocket and take around and it has probably most of the conventional small electronic screws that you would need. Highly recommend for any diy enthusiasts out there!

If you're looking for a sleek and compact screwdriver bit set for working on electronics then there is nothing better. The price alone is fantastic for what you get and it has many more bits than most would ever need. It fits right in a pocket and has handy little magnets to hold the lid on the back so you don't lose it - Nothing is more satisfying than the sound as it snaps on. There are larger and more expensive versions for those who require more variety but for building a PC, repairing phones or consoles, it has everything.Using this set alone I was able to fully build a PC which involved disassembling and reassembling the case and fiddling with every weird and wonderful type of screw. Something that comes from mashing a dozen different brands and components together, but this set came with everything I required and I am sure it will be getting used plenty in the future.My only qualm comes from a single problem I had with one of the bits. I used the larger of the two flatheads to remove a stubborn screw incompatible with a philips bit. However, when I tried to turn it, the bit twisted rather than turning the screw. I was able to twist it back mostly straight but it highlighted to me that the steel is likely not of the most premium quality. Of course, you pay more and you will get better-hardened steel, this is a budget set after all. It is just something to keep in mind that the more delicate of the bits may not be able to hold up to any serious torque.All in all, I recommend this set. It does what it says and it will serve you well as it did me. If down the line, it is no longer adequate for my needs then I have no doubt iFixit will provide me with another well-priced and excellent kit. But until then I am thoroughly satisfied.

No me había interesado comprar alguna herramienta de esta marca iFixit, solo he usado marcas como Jakemy, Trupper, Stanley, desarmadores sin marca, que fui comprando en tiendas de electrónica de la CDMX hace muchos años, los cuales duraron poco porque se desgastaban u oxidaban con frecuencia.Así mismo, lo que hace que una herramienta en este caso para uso en reparaciones de electrónica no dure lo que se puede esperar, es la calidad del acero con el cual se construyen sus puntas, cuando se insertan en el tornillo, la mayoría comienzan a despostillarse, al grado que al usarse frecuentemente, ya no sea viable por que maltratan el tornillo y puede ser complicado quitarlo.Compre este set de desarmador con 16 puntas intercambiables, porque son de acero S2, y esto asegura durabilidad con el uso constante en mi taller de reparaciones de equipos de cómputo. Existen otras marcas en el mercado, pero viendo reseñas y videos de herramientas iFixit, me parece que es de lo mejor, y lo confirmo, al abrir este set que compre, modelo Minnow, la calidad es excepcional, desde el estuche magnetico, y dentro en una espuma, vienen las puntas y el desarmador, el cual, aunque es de plástico, tiene una calidad sobresaliente, el grip moleteado es de hule antiderrapante, permitiendo una perfecta sujeción al desatornillar. Es ligero, pero de buena dureza. Las puntas tienen un diámetro más largo para usar en orificios más profundos. En verdad me ha gustado este pequeño set, y creo que compraré otros modelos y demás herramientas para actualizar las que ya tengo.Había comprado hace unas semanas, otro set de la marca Jakemy, muy completo, pero las puntas son solo de acero cromo-vanadio y en el primer uso, paso lo de todas, se despostillo la punta al insertar en el tornillo de una laptop, y por eso busque otras opciones.Recomiendo este set de desarmador, es calidad precio.

Fantastic set for light work on any electronics and other things. My go to for most work. Probably the most go to tool I have when I am about to dig into a project because it has what I need for most electronic devices. Will definitely be investing in a bigger set eventually.

That I fix it brand is great for precision tools. This little kit is cheap and it’s still offers the durability and quality of the other. I fix it products this tool set is great. I would buy this again in a heartbeat. It has a large variety of bits and the case lid is also usable as a screw holder. I love this little kit. It’s very portable and versatile I can use it to take apart a phone, a video game controller or RC car you name it if it needs precision tools I fix it. Tools are the way to go after buying I fix it tools I will never go back to the cheaper alternative. These tools are very high-quality.
