EpicureanDisplay Series Serving Board, 17.75-Inch x 14-Inch, Slate

This board has a nice appearance and is very solid. I'd say the color is closest to that of a chalkboard. Looks good on my black-based countertops. The look of it's material makes you want to touch it as it looks like it would have a fiber feel to it, but it's pretty smooth. You can leave standing water on it for some time, come back later and wipe it up, no stain on the board as with wood boards. I clean it with just soap and water. Nice product, well-built. It seems a bit pricey, but I haven't seen anything else that compares to the Epicurean.

I wanted a very large durable cutting board that could be left out all the time. I love this one.

The board is very useful as a serving board, but not as a cutting board - unfortunately. The main reason is it slips the kitchen table when used as a cutting board. Missing some rubber on one of the sides to keep the board attached to the table.

Wish I had gotten around to this review sooner, because we have been really disappointed with this product and the matching Epicurean Pizza Peel we bought at the same time. They are both attractive and we loved them at first, even after noticing a weird, fishy smell when we first washed them (the smell was strong and instantaneous when they got wet). But the smell faded and then disappeared as they dried so we went ahead and used them. Well, that was a mistake. They were fine the first few times we made pizza because the dough and finished pizza never sat on them for very long. But when we made bread and pizza a few weeks later they were completely ruined. After sitting on the serving board just over the course of dinner, the "fish" smell actually soaked into the bread and pizza crust and gave them both a horrible, chemical taste to match the smell. We tried washing them several more times to see if the smell would fade but no such luck. Really too bad, because these are very nice looking products that add a modern touch to the kitchen.

I’ve used epicurean for years and love the brown ones. The black DOESNT GET CLEAN NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO. One time cutting some potatoes and it’s effed. Tried everything to get the white off. Looked great in my kitchen unit I used it. Sending it back.

After less than 2 weeks, it was all curved and does not stay flat on the counter. So, it is not what I was expecting from epicurian since I have some of their product for more than 10 years. VERY Disappointed! so it's a return

I would not buy a used one again. You should sanitize the board before you use it.

Kann zum Schneiden und Präsentieren genutzt werden. Sehr praktisch, weil spülmaschinen-gängig. Sieht gut aus, bekommt über die Monate aber auch Gebrauchsspuren. Die Größe empfinden wir als sehr angenehm
