Fabulous cooking area!
I am so happy with my new griddle. There is so much more room compared wth the one I had, and the heating element is FAST. We had blueberry pancakes this morning. I only cooked six, but nine would have fit easily. I was lucky to fit five before. Having bacon and eggs means we can keep the bacon on the pan at the same time as the eggs. Cleans well and the low profile takes up much less room in my cabinet. Well done, Presto!

High quality product. Worth the money.
This is a fantastic griddle. The large size makes it easy to prepare a food for a large family. We have owned it for over a year and use it frequently. It works great, is easy to clean and is holding up really well.

Heavy and solid. Very happy with the griddle.
Love this griddle. It's heavy weight to distribute heat more evenly. Very large and has a tiny lip around the edge to keep grease, etc. inside, but not so high as to interfere with turning pancakes and such.

It's friggin' huge!
Compared to others we've owned this is a great griddle, despite it's issues; much nicer than the Toastmaster we bought not long ago.Two major issues with this one are it's temperature control and the heat distribution. If you look at the directions, the temperature settings it recommends for certain foods is way off. As one example, it recommends a higher setting for pancakes than it does for eggs. According to every appliance I've ever owned this is completely backwards. And it's true when cooking them. The issues with the temperature control itself are related to the other major fault, the heat distribution.Whatever temperature you set it for according to the dial, it will reach the correct temperature, but only in a narrow 3-4 inch band in the middle of the griddle. We measured temperatures with a laser-infrared thermometer; as related to where the control plugs in, the near side and the far side of the griddle have much higher temperatures than the middle of the grill, and they will both be different. The near side was at least 20 degrees higher, and the far side was easily 40 degrees higher! You basically have to lower the dial 50 degrees or more from where you want the average temperature to be.Outside of this, we do like the griddle. The non-stick is very nice and it generally IS non-stick. Pancakes cook and lift easily, though eggs do stick a little. The directions warn you not to use any spray non-stick products, so we haven't. When cooking eggs, we just put 1/2 teaspoon or so of bacon grease on the griddle and this makes the eggs come off cleanly. It doesn't seem like the coating is going to wear off into your food like some non-stick coatings .The directions mention this point, but in case you don't read those things; it tends to make popping noises as it heats up and cools down, no doubt because it's so large. Not an issue really, but you might be alarmed by it if you weren't aware it's normal. And finally, have I mentioned it's LARGE?! It's easy to cook six large size flapjacks at once, and making a pancake breakfast goes much faster as a result! Finding a storage spot for this monster might be a challenge, but it is very low profile and fits on top of our refrigerator nicely.Unless the size is an issue, buy it! You probably won't find any of these griddles without uneven temperature issues, and this one is good quality!

Really nice griddle, and Huge- yet compact.
This griddle has a huge cooking area, but the lack of big handles and stuff and the low height keeps it surprisingly compact. Most of its area is working space. Very nice finish on the cooking surface.Heating test- I set it for 375, timed, and checked the heat with a laser. Working temp took only 5-6 minutes to reach. Variations in temp across the surface were fairly wide until it reached the working point. After that, variations leveled out; were plus or minus 10 degrees. That is normal as well, with most good grills. No distortion or warp with heat either. It sits close to the countertop, but the heat underneath the grill was not enough to be a concern. The only thing worth noting from the initial test is that the actual temperature runs hotter than the thermostat setting. I found that the 300/325 setting produces the 375 I wanted. This is a pretty typical characteristic of grills, once you know it, you adjust your set points.Overall, looks great. Love the big cooking area without a lot of extensions taking up more space. It's light even though the deck is quite solid, it will be easy to store as well. This replaces a previous Presto grill, which has served for more than 30 years, and still works fine. It's a keeper!
