Bainbridge - Black Desk Grommet, 1 inch, 5 Pack

I used these nice grommets to cover the 1" holes in the ceiling and walls drilled to feed the cables for security cameras when I had my security system installed. When you remove the grommet covers, the larger ends on the three-lead cables for audio/video and the larger ends of HDMI cable just barely fit through these (with a little wiggling), and then when the covers were snapped back on, there was very little gap around the cables. They worked great to cover the drilled 1" rough holes and make the installation look professional and finished, plus they keep any loose ceiling insulation from falling through (you just need to remember to use them as you go before you hook your wires up). I purchased a package of five of these black grommets for the house exterior and a package of five of the white grommets for my interior ceilings and walls here on Amazon; as I could only find 2" grommets or larger at the local office supply and hardware stores. I wish Amazon would reference these 1" grommets better in their supply inventory, since even if you enter "1" desk grommet" in Amazon's site search, you still have to peruse an immense number of pages of grommets to find this 1" size which appears to be carried by only one or two suppliers (these are available in an almond color too). These grommets are sturdy, well made, and nice looking. They could work for a variety of uses besides just covering the wire-feed hole on a desktop.

Had the home office redone and the installers added several small grommet holes on the outside of the cabinetry so we can run wires inside. They left these holes bare, so I bought these grommets to finish the look. Unfortunately, the grommet holes were very slightly larger than 1 inch. That alone wouldn't have been a problem, since I could have epoxied these grommets into the holes, but the cords I was using didn't fit through the 1 inch opening. Turns out the plug-ends of the wires were very slightly larger than 1 inch, which is why the holes are also about 1.25 inches in diameter. So, with no way to push the cords through, I couldn't use these grommets in their intended location.Still, they are obviously a quality product, and I am sure I will find another use for them over time. House has no shortage of wiring running all over, so maybe these will be useful for other applications.

I made a 1 inch hole in the wall and this grommet fit perfectly. $5 is a fair price considering that it's rare to find grommets this size and the plastic feels strong, but I wish the white version wasn't triple the price.

We installed three of these in a conference room table in order to hide the wires from our conference phone and it's extension microphones. We used a 1" hole saw to make the cutouts, and luckily the product fit perfectly. It's a snug fit, but a tap with a mallet was all we needed to get them flush and fitting properly.The overall look is okay, but not as nice as some of the other brands we've used. 1" is kind of small, and if you have lots of cables to work with, you might prefer a larger option. Still, the size was what we were looking for and they do the job.

Make sure you check the size. The inner diameter is NOT large enough for most standard computer cords. Get the next size up.

I used a 1 inch hole saw in my desk to install this plug, the plug fit but it is loose (Can be easily removed with any force. Easy fix to add tape to outside edge but something to be aware of. Looks good and cap stays on fine.

Exactly what it says it is. Fits perfectly in a 1" hole. Great quality
