KAISH 13 Hole P Bass Style Pickguard PB Scratch Plate Bass Pickguard for USA/Mexico Precision P Bass Black 3 Ply

I got this black pick-guard to swap out a bright orange pick-guard on this used Made in Mexico Fender Standard Precision Bass I bought. It's not a perfect fit, but the price makes it close enough for rock -n- roll! It tapers too much at the jack end, and there is about a 1/16th inch gap that's not covering the cutout. It's only noticeable if you know it's there. The holes line up close enough to screw in the screws. It comes with a packet of mounting screws, but I just used the old ones to have a new baggy of screws if I ever need some spares. The volume and tone holes are big enough for USA spec potentiometers. The pickup cut outs fit perfectly over the pickups with enough of a gap for easy pickup height adjustments. Overall, it's great for an inexpensive color swap, and looks nice. Now I have a sweet classic punk rock Sid Vicious black on white look, and it's Frankenstein approved!

Good quality pick guard. Fit perfectly. I wanted to swap out the stock white pick guard on my 2023 Player Series P Bass for a black one. I discovered, finding a black Fender branded pickguard WITHOUT a truss rod cut out is difficult. At the time of this review, Fender only sells the white pick guard which comes on all Player Series bass guitars.

Bass isn't my main instrument, so I just have something cheap & cheerful. However, I wanted a specific look for my all-black Squier PJ Bass and this is both a great price and had some reviews that said it worked fine in one. However, whether those reviewers were talking about a different model or there are just consistency issues, it took a lot of work for me to make it fit.I've now bought two of these pickguards after the first one cracked when I was installing it. The 13 screwholes all lined up pretty closely with the original, though the guard itself isn't exactly the same shape as the stock one and the pickup routes are too small. Not only that, but the screwholes weren't an exact match between the two pickguards that I bought. It's close and workable, but not identical. If you check my photos, you'll see that I've highlighted where the differences between this mirrored guard and the stock black one. There's no shadow in the first two pics - what appears to be shadow is where I've laid the two pickguards over each other to show the slight difference in shape. I had to force the first pickguard on and it cracked right around the left side of the pickup. So I bought a second and that was going to be the same as the first, so I had to take a Dremel to it to try to widen & elongate the pickguard (Pic 2 shows where the mirrored one doesn't quite match up the stock pickguard, especially around the pickups. I had to both widen *and* elongate the holes. It may not look like much, but it's enough to stop it from fitting without some work). Unfortunately with this being pretty cheap, taking the Dremel to the pickup route also scratched part of the pickguard, but I can live with that - it just looks like it's already got a few battle scars around the top of the pickup. Also the pickguards I received weren't totally flat even before installing them, so this is accentuated in the mirror finish, meaning there's a very slight warping to the reflection. Is it good enough for a Squier played at home? Yes. But for gigging? Well let's just say you're not going to fool people into thinking you've got a Limited Edition Custom Fender.Just bear in mind that this isn't necessarily a direct fit for your Squier PJ bass. Although the item description doesn't say it *is*, I've had to knock a star off for the quality and apparent inconsistency since some people say that it worked for them.TL:DR - worth what it costs, but takes some work for to fit a Squier PJ series bass.

Fits on my Squier CV 70’s P bass with no modification. Some of the screw holes are a little off center but work fine. Also looks great!

The dimensions of this pickguard are way off and i would not recommend this product. The price was tempting but you will probably be disappointed just as I was. The screw holes do not line up, the pickup cavities are too small, and the bottom cutaway does not line up at all. Just invest in a pickguard from Fender and you will be all set.

Fits perfect on my 91 MIJ, not as mint green as I had hoped but oh well. Quality pick guard.

Bought for a squire p bass that had a cracked pick guard. The shipping was much sooner than I expected, and it looked good upon arrival. The other reviews about trimming the area around the pickups were correct. There is some serious alignment issues where the pickups emerge, and I had to work with a dremel and test fit several times to get them in. I understand that I’m asking a third party pick guard to work with a squire bass and Seymour Duncan pickups, so nothing is guaranteed, but figment in that area was well over a half inch off. Screw holes had a few issues, but nothing major.

L'articolo è arrivato prima della prevista consegna, molto ben imballato, si adatta molto bene al mio basso, pellicola trasparente da rimuovere che serviva da protezione al colore, stampa molto dettagliata con colori accesi, comprende anche viti x il fissaggio, le misure sono quelle specificate dal costruttore molto bene nelle immagini, io personalmente lo consiglio sia per il prezzo che x la qualità ridarete così una nuova veste al vostro strumento
