Highly recommend for anyone who suffers from ingrown hairs
Pseudofolliculitis barbae, which is a condition that is particularly common in black men but also afflicts white men like me, is caused when tightly curled beard hairs, sharpened by shaving, curve back and re-enter the skin, producing inflammation, bumps and infections. I've struggled with this variety of ingrown hairs after shaving for years, particularly in the area between the mouth and chin and on parts on my neck. I've tried everything from single blade to cut throat razors but nothing has worked. For the past decade I've largely got by using a beard trimmer, and only shaving properly for special occasions, but of course that has meant going around with a day or two's stubble growth which doesn't look professional. I'm joining the Army in January and am required to shave every day, so I have spent the past year frantically experimenting with solutions to my shaving problem.I was introduced to Jack Black Bump Fix by a US military forum. Apparently it's very popular amongst the african american recruits. I thought I'd give it a go, and I'm so pleased I did. I've managed to shave every day for a month now with only one ingrown hair. I've been using a Gillette Blue II Slalom Plus Disposable Razor (normally get 5 good shave from each), shaving in the morning after showering, applying the product after moisturising and then reapplying again before bed. Works for me. For the first time ever I can shave and not worry that my chin will be covered in spots the next morning. I've tried applying using both cotton pads and just by pouring a little onto my palm and applying with a finger. Both methods suffice. One complaint is the cost of the product in the UK. They've just switched the dollar and pound sign, but I hope if this product becomes more popular it may go down in price. I'm certainly going to encourage the Army bases I work from to stock up. Nevertheless, one bottle should last for several months, so in the grand scheme the price isn't extortionate.

For black men
Can recommend to black with very curly hair, good for post barber haircuts and touch haircuts, but also for those adhoc bumps that appear out of nowhere. Expensive but worth the results.

Effective not full-proof - Worth a try!
I have been using this product for a month now and I have noticed a reduction in razor bumps that have plagued me since I started shaving. They have not yet gone by any means, and I still have some noticeable irritation after shaving. However, I do find this product has helped somewhat and is worth trying further.I am also going to try some other JB products like the shaving cream etc to give it the full benefit of the doubt. Overall, I think it is worth a try and offers some benefit.
