Mark 3HD

This is a quality meats scope with quality lens. Optical clarity is amazing. The fire.and reticle is outstanding. The variation between brightness settings is fantastic and transition smoothly. Off clicks between fire.settings is a SMART feature. And the weight of the optic is remarkable and helps keep the weight of the rifle down and maintain balance. I have one criticism of the scope Leupold Meads to make a true one power optic. If the scope was a 1 to 4 it would be more versatile and substitute a red dot while adding the LVP option. If you’re going to use this on a carbine for room clearing you would need to add a micro reflex sight.

This scope on my 308BLR works perfectly without adding a lot of weight. I am scoring great shots under 200 yards. I’m loving life.

Leopoldo makes great scopes and this one is no different. The scope performs great on my 1895 Marlin 45/70

...which means you get what you pay for. Excellent glass, smooth turrets, sharp reticle, warranty. All around excellent scope for short to medium range shooting. Thank you!

The Leupold Mark 3HD 1.5-4x20mm is a great value for the money. This is the least expensive version of the Mark 3HD scopes, about $200 less than the other models. This scope provides a very clear image and no detectable distortion. Mounted to a Ruger American rifle in 300 BO. Scope was easy to zero, and point of impact was rock steady.

Okay, I had high hopes for this scope, let me start with the good. It has great glass, it's clear and the fast focus works well to bring everything into a sharp crisp focus. The firedot is also great and you can start to see it in daylight around three on the setting, at six or the max of seven it's very bright in full sun. It's accurate and doesn't wander on target, it stays zeroed. Now for the bad, Elevation and windage, turrets are plastic junk, with slop when first engaging the 1/10 click, after that the clicks are firm until you go the other way and you will encounter the slop again. Also, there is no set screw to re-zero the turrets so you are just left guessing what your old zero was. This is just not acceptable for a $745 scope with the Leupold name on it. At a minimum, the turrets should have been aluminum or mild steel and re-settable. It looks like Leupold has gone the way of other great scope manufacturers and cut corners where it mattered.

Got mine quick, arrived in perfect condition no damage during shipping ….. mounted really well…crisp clear glass and I was able to hit steel 100yds-350yds no problem.

Fits great on my leupold mount on my swan rail. Mounts right on my delta h-bar carry handle. Total 90’s Chuck Norris look!
