Black Universal Microphone Shock Mount for Large Diameter Diameter 48-51mm Condenser Microphone Metal Construction

Purchased after studying the reviews on quality, which is accurate for this mount. It timely arrived. The center mike holder opening is for a much larger microphone than the ATR 2100, that I own. The 2100 indicates 51mm, but that is at the mike area, not the trunk which is much smaller and used for mounting to the shock mount. After researching a replacement in the same price range, I found none. I had some foam pipe insulation for 1/2 inch pvc pipe in the utility room. This is readily available from most any big box hardware store. I cut the foam about 4" in length and placed the 2100 in the foam. It fits perfect. I didn't seal the foam, but it is just right and tight in the mount holder. I now have a shock mount that can be used if, and when, I purchase a larger microphone. I have attached a photo. After the image was created, I further trimmed the foam length to match the actual size of the mounting holder opening. This shock mount is a quality product at a great price.

Bought this item to hold my Sterling ST-51 condenser mic on the Tonor desk-mount swing arm. Fits both the mic and the arm perfectly and provides the support I needed for this heavy condenser mic. Works great - GREAT PRICE!

The shock mount is a little stiff other than that it’s pretty sturdy. A little too sturdy. Small and stiff not really any shock absorbing with this mount. All In all great sturdy mount. But I world not use this for booth recording. Now.. band work it be great on a condenser overhead.

This shock mount is made from a solid metal construction, which is a nice change of pace from the usual plastic builds of this type of product in this price category. For reference, I'm using this with an Audio Technica AT2020 and the fit is perfect. It is a bit on the tight side and the metal clamp will need some force to open up, but it definitely fits snugly without fear of it falling out. The mounting joint on the shock mount feels solid and mounting it to my desk clamp arm mount feels nice and secure. Using this shock mount definitely helps with keeping unwanted vibrations from transmitting, especially if you have your base mount on your desk. If you use it for gaming like I do, it'll definitely help to eliminate unwanted "thumping" noises from keyboard usage or general movement on the desk. Overall, this is a great shock mount to improve the audio from your microphone. It's well constructed for the price and if you have an AT2020 or similarly sized microphone, the fit is perfect.

My hyperactive quadcast made it out of a literal tornado but without its shock mount, so I needed something to fit it. For this shock mount, the middle part does not fit it without some severe struggle, so I decided to take it off, which was a whole ordeal. DO NOT try to cut it open like I did, the thing is crazy sturdy. I had to unscrew it and unhook a bunch of things to make it work for my purpose. I won’t dock stars for the struggle though, since it was my fault mostly. HyperX customer support basically said they can’t do anything, so this was the best option. Super sturdy, hard to take apart, perfect for durability and longevity. If I coated this white it would match perfect! Would buy again if it were in white.

This mount works great for the AT2020 (the XLR version, can't speak to the USB version). My AT2020 fits inside snugly but did not need to be forced yet holds it securely enough to position the mic upside down if necessary with no danger of it falling out. All-metal construction, performs exactly as it should. If you're having issues locating the correct shock mount for the AT2020 look no further - you've found it. Some say you need to remove the spring clip arms once you've installed the mic - there's really no need and no performance enhancement to be gained by either removing them or leaving in place, so it's just a matter of preference. You WILL need them installed should you wish to pull the mic out of the mount again.

Just wow ... I bought this because it was said it fits my AT2020 USB+ (which does perfectly) and I expected something like lowering shock amount in audio. But boy, this thing cancels everything! Even my smashing my table with fist - all I could hear was hit itself (sound) not thud (shock). If this fits your mic, definitely go for it. Great abilities to reduce/remove shocks from typing/smashing on your table, compact size (it is a tiny bit smaller in diameter than my DIR636 wifi router), amazingly low price compared to other anti-shock mounts I took a look at and it was delivered super fast (expected delivery at January 18th to EU from USA, got it a week earlier).

For the price its great but its not the best productof its kind. It's clearly made from brittle metal so I anticipate that the movable metal parts will eventually snap. There's a dry foam that will likely become brittle that cushion the mic that's sort of suspect, but all in all, if you need a shock mount quickly that will do the job and not break the bank, this is a good choice. Think of this like an emergency buy, like "I'm broke as hell but need to finish recording my vocals this week" then this is a great choice. But if you're trying to make genuine investments in your home studio... maybe try a nicer product.

Je l'utilise avec un Bird UM1 L'élastique de très bonne qualité pour tenir le micro sans trop le serré non plus, a voir si il ne craque pas dans le temps mais me semble de très bonne facture, il y a un petit système pour enlever et remettre le micro dedans très facilement sans abimé le micro et il empêche très bien d'entendre les bruit de type "tapage dans le bureau" je recommande très fortement !

Lo compré para un Edge Solo que no tenía araña en su soporte y cabe muy justo pero cabe. Lo que más me gusta es que me vale para cualquier micrófono y lo tengo siempre colocado en el pie de micrófono para no tener que andar poniendo y quitando. Me gustaría que tuviese un antipop propio. Por el precio me parece perfecto.

I'm using this with an audio technica mic which came with a shock mount, but with a baffle to cut down on room noise, this holder works better. It's well designed, easy to use and very reasonably priced. Very pleased indeed.
