DEWALT Heavy Duty Tripod (DW0737)

I’ve had this tripod for a year and used it six times. The problem with it is the tiny e-clips on the pins that hold the leg clamps in place. They work themselves loose and the pins fall out. I contacted the number provided for Dewalt. They asked me for warranty details and then I never heard back from them. I ordered new e-clips (not from Dewalt) and they came off as well. I ended up fixing the problem by removing the pins and replacing them with small bolts. I would nor recommend this product.I have to apologize to Dewalt. They sent me a replacement in good order. Unfortunately I still have a product with the same problem. I’m better off keeping the original one I repaired as it will not come apart.

This is a great tripod. It is light, yet sturdy. Very pleased at the quality for the price. Comes with a 1/4 x 20 adaptor in case you want to attach a camera or laser, although without a head you’d have no means of tilting your device. Works perfectly with the Leica optical level, which mounts with the standard 5/8” screw.

I bought a dewalt 079lr laser and I needed a flat top tripod for it. the flat top has a level bubble in it wich I wasn't expecting and removable rubber boots on the leg points so you can use it inside on hardwood if you want and an adapter plate to mount smaller lasers on it. im in Canada and this tripod was $40 cheaper than the hardware store. the laser sits solidly on the tripod

These legs are way better constructed than my originals...much stronger and has bubble level on top where laser sits, so you know its level before mounting laser

the product is good on dirt but the legs want to slide on smooth services. I cant lock them so they dont slide out and fall
