XMCOSY+Outdoor String Lights, Smart 98Ft RGBW Patio Lights Waterproof, App Control, Work with Alexa, Color Changing LED String Light for Outside Yard

Customer Service: I bought these string lights in November of 2022. I’m just now writing a review because of a recent technical issue that I had with the device. I wrote the company an email and they responded within a day requesting the device information. When provided, they had a replacement power box sent to me within the week at no additional cost. The replacement took care of my technical issue and the lights went back to working as normal. I cannot stress enough the gratification I had to know a company is willing to stand behind their product and put customer satisfaction first.Product: As for the product itself, it’s amazing! Very durable design and comes with a steel wire for support and easy installation. It took me about 30 minutes to set up and configure it the way I wanted, hung across my outdoor area. The app is excellent and allows you to sync multiple devices and control them all from the app, or even your Alexa/Google devices.Overall: EXTREMELY satisfied with this product and the vendor. This is definitely one of the best Amazon buys I’ve had yet. I will definitely buying more products from them in the near future.

EDIT:Update from one star to FIVE STARS! Customer service is phenomenal. I had all the issues listed below and XMCOSY fixed it immediately with no issues at all. The lights work perfectly now.ORIGINAL:I want to recommend these, but they have quit working in less than a year from purchasing. After about four months, the power box for the lights quit. I purchased another box and they worked fine for another six months, but it is now out again. I cannot recommend these lights unless you want to spend another $20 every few months for a new power box.

Just installed the lights outdoors and tested them and their XMCosy android app. The quality of the lights and cable seem very good.The lights are bright enough however I'd like if they were able to deliver a little more brightness or maybe if they more closely spaced the lights to be every two feet instead of three. I'd gladly pay more for a set like this with more lights in the purchased length of 123 feet long.The controlling XMCosy app was a bit challenging to link/pair to the LED light controller which is located on the light cable. I had to end up linking/pairing it 'manually' and the process was not very intuitive so I can see folks that may not be very tech savy having problems doing this as I had to. There was a function to automatically add the light set to the app but it did not work and I also received some app warning pop ups about the system only works with 2.4ghz wifi and not 5ghz wifi.Once I had the app linked (manually) and started using it to begin testing the lights I unplugged the lights as a part of my testing process and then the app did not see or communicate with the lights anymore. I then had to once again manually link/pair the app with the light controller. This concerned me as I suspected that possibly the light controller would need to be linked/paired with the app every time the lights were unplugged or lost power. Fortunately after manually linking/pairing the app to lights controller this second time, the light app would reconnect to the light controller each time I tried unplugging the lights from a power supply. But again, this one time losing that connection would probably confuse and frustrate a less tech savy purchaser and maybe even result in a return of the lights to amazon.As for the app and its functions, it works very well. It enables the user to create operating schedules, select any color in the color wheel, and the color's saturation level and brightness when displaying a single solid color on all the lights at the same time. It also has a pre-programmed function for a white only display for the lights to select the type of white color from pure white to a more yellow looking white to a blue white and also the brightness - this is a very nice function.There are also eight pre-programmed light themes that do various rotating rotating colors, strobes, fades, blinking, chasing colors, etc - these are very fun and seem nice for parties, gatherings, events (including ones for Christmas and 4th of July). The one drawback to these is that the user cannot select or change any of the colors displayed on these eight pre-programmed displays - the lack of this was really disappointing and seems lacking given how great all the other features are.Lastly, there is one pre-programmed static light display (no blinking, strobing, fading, etc) that they do let you select only two colors that are displayed alternately on each light in a sequence. It is called 'Pick 2'. I enjoyed testing this display and was able to easily dial-in the miami dolphins football team colors of aqua and orange. Too bad the other pre-programmed light displays didn't enable at least some limited ability to slect some different colors like this Pick 2 display did.All in all this outoor-safe LED light string seems of very good quality and has plenty of remote control, scheduling and automation functions offered through the provided wifi app that seems at least during my initial testing to work great. I'll update his review over time and add how well the light set holds-up and the app and light controller, their linking/pairing, etc hold up. One final through: The fact that this light set uses only wifi instead of Bluetooth for connecting the phone app to the light controller is great for me. I suspect this wifi connection and communicating is also the preferred method for most all users but for some installs there may be no wifi and Bluetooth communication may be preferred - if this is the case for you then this light set is not for you.

good price, fast delivery. Appears to be a high quality item that will last outdoors on my fence. Setup very easy, configured in to my alexa enabled home. Good patterns and theme lighting., easy to manage

I purchased the lights to enhance my home with both functional and ambient lighting, attracted by their promising features and easy installation process. Despite numerous attempts to re-pair and troubleshoot based on the manufacturer’s guidelines, the lights failed to reconnect.- **Durability Concerns:** The fact that they ceased functioning within less than a year raises significant concerns about the product's longevity and reliability.- **Installation Effort Wasted:** Considering the effort and cost involved in their installation, their premature failure is not only frustrating but also costly.In conclusion, while the Lights initially seemed like a fantastic addition to my smart home setup, their failure after just 10 months is a major letdown. I would hesitate to recommend this product unless the manufacturer addresses these reliability issues. For potential buyers, I suggest looking into alternatives that offer better durability and customer support.
