Do the labels print on plastic containers? (I've seen numerous folks complain they don't....)

Yep, they do. I bought mine for the purpose of labeling plastic storage containers on my garage. You may want to clean the surface to remove dust, etc. be sure to buy extra labels.

Where can I get replacement ink from?

Their is no need for extra ink the tape it feeds has the ink or whatever already in it so it will copy what letters you tell it to the only thing you need to feed it is batteries and new tape spools

I can only see the screen if I look at it on an angle. Straight on the letters on the digital screen totally disappear. Is mine defective?

You should be able to see it from straight on or slight angle. It does sound as if your screen is not adjusted properly.

If i use rechargeable batteries in the 210d with the ac adapter, will it recharge them?
