I tried natural hair color for the first time and read the instructions and reviews thoroughly. For my hair color and grays I needed to prime my hair. I tried the Khadi Color Care and I got beautiful color dimension for my grey hair.I recommend Khadi hair color and use Color Care first!

I think if you are looking for a healthy solution for your hair. This is the solution. You will not go back to the cheap drug store hair color.

In regards to color prep and the hair color. This product is not for 4 c hair, as that it does not allow for condition before, during or immediately after applying. After applying, my hair was so dry and tangled that it took two deep conditioning treatments to get my hair back to normal. I will go back to Rainbow Research Henna, which allows conditioning, before, during and after treatment.

I made a pun but it’s really true. “Don’t Khadi Color your hair without it!” If you have grays or light hair and want your color to cover them, what’s the point if your hair color doesn’t cover it all? Khadi knows what they’re doing with color so they know you have to create a base color to prime first before applying color. It’s like painting a white wall with a bright or dark color, you have to tone that bright white paint first to get a more intense finished color. As an artist, I love that khadi considered this color concept as it is very effective in achieving true vivid color! Also, if you use hair sprays or finishing products, it can build up on your hair. Consider using the detox mask when prepping your hair shaft for color. :) Happy Coloring!

Color prep helped me get full gray coverage!I have stubborn gray hairs that don’t always take color without chemicals.I left it on double the recommended time then colored my hair with khadi dark brown.I’m so impressed with this company!

I bought Khadi Black Hair Color, along with Khadi Color Prep. I think the reason my color came out so great is that I used the Color Prep first, as recommended in the instructions (for covering gray hair). It is easy to mix and apply, and I love using Khadi's 100% NATURAL hair color products. Other companies feign natural, but Khadi actually IS completely natural!

I tried this with the red color to try to get a different color from normal henna I dye my hair with. It make no difference it turned out the same exact color as just regular henna(just save your money and get regular reshma henna). It's one step and it does the same thing as this-same color and same coverage.
