We needed these for a Willow tree in a very windy area if our yard as well as a Pink Dogwood. They really help a lot in holding them in place but still allow movement in the wind so the young trees don't snap or break as they grow. Highly recommend these. It comes with the rubber band and you just need a T post frommyour local hardware store, Lowe's, HD or Menards, etc. You might also watch the Youtube video on setup to help as well. Review: T Mate O Telescoping Tree Support- Worked perfectly! - This is exactly what I was looking for to help our newly planted Eastern Red Bud. We live in a very windy area, and our soil is sand. I wanted something to help steady the young tree while it secured itself after transplant. I love that this isnt touching our tree, but supports if it's needed. 1 growing season, and now we'll remove it and save for our next planting!

Less Invasive Than Multiple Wooden Posts
This Telescoping Tree Support saved my pomegranate tree that started leaning this year. I only had to place one stake instead of multiples around my established tree, disturbing fewer roots.

Disappointing
Tried to use this and not impressed. We live in AZ. When I took the 2 retainer pins out, one of them broke, which wasn't the best start. Assembly was fine, but I wondered if the part that goes around the tree was going to hold up because the design didn't look that sturdy where the 2 pieces went together. We had our first mild (25 MPH) windstorm, and unfortunately, as I'd feared, the piece that clips around the tree just fell apart. I guess this would be fine with much lighter wind, but because of the plastic and the joint around the tree, it just fell open and released the tree. I did put the green fencepost up wind per the directions, too. Maybe the 'high' wind and combination of mildly warm temps (it was about 105), those conditions are too much for the plastic material and the design.

Ok brace
Would be better if the other end was more accommodating to different poles. If you don’t get the exact size pole, it doesn’t fit right.

Easy to use prevents plants from falling over.

Easy to install
We planted a maple in the fall and are using this tree brace for the first year. So far so good! I like that it isn’t wrapped around the trunk but it does keep it from blowing over in strong wind.
