Solid and firm, gentle rocking
The light beige is really not beige (pinkish); it is a warm light oatmeal color, very nice. When it came, the dowels needed for attaching the cross pieces to the rockers were too tight to use. We stored them and all the wood parts in the warm furnace room for two weeks hoping they would dry out and shrink. After that I was able to tap them in with a hammer, though they were still too tight to just push in. The dowel holes in the rockers were not tight at all. Take your time putting the base together. If you think the holes are in the wrong place, don't get your drill out; you are probably wrong, and you need to study the instructions some more. There is an older review where someone complains of having a piece hit the back of the leg: I think the back bar was installed on the front somehow. The company now puts big "front" and "back" stickers on the pieces. The chair looks good. The seat depth and width is 20 x 20 inches. The seat height at the front is 19 1/2 inches, and the cushion is firm, so it is easy to get out of: this is really good for older people, as well as for parents with babies that are starting to grow heavy. All around, a very good choice.

Excellent chair for the price
This is the third rocking chair for my daughter's nursery (the first two were vintage hand-me-downs), and I can't believe I waited so long to buy one that suits me. Those first two make me appreciate this more, though! The chair is well-balanced and stable, and although it does rock, it isn't "loose" -- it's very easy to get out of smoothly with a sleeping baby. The arms are low enough for nursing and the back is high enough to lean my head against. It's not an overstuffed chair but the padding is dense and supportive and very comfortable. And it looks great! And the footprint is modest. And the matching ottoman is very nice, too; I'd been using a small vintage footstool, but the generously-sized, well-padded ottoman is much more comfortable. I like the oatmeal-colored, slightly textured fabric, although I wish I'd treated it with Scotchgard before I began using the chair. My only complaint is that the bolts are a little finicky when you're putting it together.

Fantastic budget rocking chair for our nursery
Fortunately we did not have the issues many have described with this chair arriving damaged. This is a great budget rocking chair for our nursery, with the retro style we were looking for. Assembly was easy but a little time consuming. It's definitely not as cushy as other chairs out there, but that's fine for us and it's still very comfortable. For reference, I am 5'9 and I can still lean back comfortably in it.One thing I will say is that the "light beige" looks a little more like a light grey. Could be the lighting in the room we have it in? Not a problem for us, but something to be aware of that it's at least not quite as "bright" as the photo makes it appear.

Beautiful rocking chair
Such a beautiful and well crafted rocking chair. As a new mama and a mama in general I was told having a rocking chair was going to be like an essential. I am very glad I purchased this chair. It is very chic and very comfortable. Only thing is that it’s position goes all the way back at stay point, but that’s just how it is made. It honestly fits with my nursery concept.

Super cute and comfy
We’re using this rocking chair along with the matching footrest in our nursery! It’s super stylish and very comfortable. The head rest is high enough for me to rest my head (I’m 5’4) but not high enough for my husband to (he’s 6’). It’s very sturdy yet comfortable. Looking forward to rocking my baby in this chair! It’s more on the firm side than the soft squishy side but maybe it just needs to be broken into.

completes daughter’s nursery
love the look and comfort of this chair!! it completes our daughters mid-century modern nursery perfectly! i searched for a reasonable, stylish, yet simple rocker for so long while pregnant and though this was a bit pricey with the foot stand, it is well worth the price! the high back and armrests are excellent. my husband assembled in less than an hour and though we were scared it may have some flaws from shipping, it was unscathed! intend to use for many years and i have no doubt that it will stand the test of time!

Great chair! Nice design!
Great chair for our nursery! Seems very sturdy and I love the design! Assembly was easy enough for my husband to do in about 15 minutes. It’s comfortable too! I love how it will also be a great piece any where else in our house when our baby outgrows having it in her room!
