So far, love it
This is great for packing multiple items amd keeping them separate or making my own "lunchables" for the kids. The top seals nicely and really does keep foods in the compartments separate. Only used a few times so far, but no leaks yet. As others jave mentioned, the top can be a little tough to get on and off, nut as long as I take time to make sure the top is positioned correctly, it has beem fine. My 7 year old hasn't had any issues either. My 2 year old can't get the top on and off, but her teachers help, so it is not an issue. I won't put the top in the dishwasher, though, bc I fear that any small bend or separation of the seal caused by the heat could stop it from sealing properly. It's incredibly easy to clean, so that isn't an inconvenience.

Actually leakproof BETWEEN compartments and as a whole unit
After reviewing many bento-type boxes, I chose to purchase this one because it claimed to be leak-proof BETWEEN compartments. I want to be able to pack liquid or other "leak-able" foods (applesauce, fresh cut fruit, ranch dressing for dipping) without them leaking into other compartments. I am happy to say that so far this product has lived up to its claims of being leak-proof between compartments. And as a whole unit.My kindergarten son is able to open and close the container independently. I carefully demonstrated how to open/close and had him practice before sending it with him to school. It does require a certain bit of care and finesse to successfully latch all 4 sides closed. The box fits easily into a typical child lunchbox with room for a thin ice pack on top. The container and compartments hold good amounts of food, yet the container as a whole is not bulky. I am very happy with my purchase.

Great for adults, problematic for young children
I originally bought this for my seven year old son. I was ecstatic when I discovered that it fit in his lunch box but my enthusiasm was soon replaced by a feeling of disappointment when it became obvious that he couldn't open or shut it. I'm glad that I had him test it out before I packed his lunch for the first day of school! He wasn't even able to unlock one side of it. On the positive side, it's definitely a secure fit, you can be confident that nothing will leak out if it, and I'm sure you'll get plenty of use out of it once you get accustomed to opening & closing it. Although, if you're purchasing this for a young child my advice would be to move on to something else as they will need the assistance of an adult. While I love the container and kept it for myself, it does take some getting used to. It can be a bit of a struggle even for adults. The e-mail that the company sent out after the product was ordered was a nice touch and greatly appreciated. It provided tips on how to properly close the container which will come in useful if you find yourself struggling.

Waste of $
Kiddos nor their teachers could open or close these things. They don’t line up most of the time and sooooo hard to snap. Wished I would be able to get my money back as I bought 4 of them and then had to turn around and buy the expensive brands anyway.

Don't use with oily foods
One of the few compartmentalised plastic lunch containers I've found that actually keep wet and dry foods separated. Would not recommend for use with oily foods, such as hummus or mozzarella balls with olive oil. Ours have withstood almost 2 years of use with care, but recently the seals have begun breaking down in the smaller compartments where foods that contained oils were used occasionally. As others have stated, the latches can become difficult to close without using some "technique". I thought perhaps it was due to washing ours regularly in the dishwasher (top rack only).I will likely buy them again if I can't find another option, but with a realistic life expectation of only perhaps 2 years of daily use and careful thought regarding contents and cleaning.

Withstands back pack abuse with no leaks!
Have used these bento lunch boxes for a few months and still LOVE them. My 16 yr old daughter packs her lunch in one and throws it in her back pack. It has kept everything contained- even applesauce or tuna salad! I was really worried about the tuna making a MESS of her papers, etc. but she has never had any issue with it leaking. This has been the best option for my girl who doesn't like school lunch options and won't carry a lunch box. FYI My family has used the "EasyLunchBox" system for MANY years- these boxes fit in the cooler bag just like the original containers. These will also stack with the ELB boxes almost perfectly.

The best sinze ZipLock (and I feel like I've tried them all)
Since Ziplock discontinued their 3 compartment lunch containers (the best of all time) I have been on a quest to find a suitable replacement. Most are flimsy, or leak, or both. This has been a standout. It is light, easy to use and most importantly, leak proof. (We have been pretty happy with our YumBox, but still find some leakage between internal compartments, it's much heavier, the compartment sizes are smaller and is double the cost.) THIS bento lunch box is our go to. My son has been using his daily since the start of the school year, and it is holding up well (we handwash bc we are usually cleaning it up and then repacking it for the next day). I'm purchasing a second one (now that they are available again) for my other son.
