The old smell before they changed the ingredients smelled like a baby. Since they changed it has more of a flower scent than a baby. It also has a lot more ingredients.

Is Dreft only for newborns? I really want to go back to Dreft for my 3 year old.

Nope, Dreft makes two different stages! Dreft Stage 1 is for Newborns, and Dreft Stage 2 is for "Active Baby." We use stage 2 for our toddler and it works great and smells amazing!

Does this take out baby poop stains?

No it does not. The only thing that I found to remove those is Shout. Spot treat the stain with shout, then wash normally with Dreft.

Is this the original scent or the new scent?

No, it is not the original scent. I returned a first order I made because it was not the original scent. I contacted the seller and was told they would re send the correct item, Original Scent Dreft. The second item I received was also not the original scent.
