Don't purchase, it's junk. Noticed it was taking a lot longer to fry foods so, checked the temperature and this junk couldn't get over 290 degrees. Hoped maybe after breaking it in it might increase over time but never happened. Total GARBAGE.

I was not at all familiar with this brand. At the price, I was sceptical to order. Man, am I pleasantly impressed! Being a elderly single I needed a small, efficient and compact unit that is easy to clean.This fryer exceeds my expectations.

Pro's: It small, compact and it worksEverything except the heating unit is easy to cleanThe cover does stop oil splashing. Another customer mentioned not to use the cover when heating the unit up or else it will melt. The cover worked fine for me while frying food,Con's: It holds less than 1.6 qts 51.2 ouncesThe marker for the oil level is hard to seeTemperature label started to peel after 1st use (see photo)The green light would not come on at first, I had to hit the reset button on the heating unit, then the green light came on. This product will cook about 4 whole chicken wings or 1 piece of fish (cut in halves). The unit works so great that I after I wore out my first one, I purchased a new one. The only pitfall that I have against this unit, is cleaning. Because the basket does not come out, it is hard to clean. You have to clean the basket while still connected to the base. It would have an A1 season if I could remove the basket. Also, you might want to order some replacement filters. The filters last a while, but they do need to be replaced.

When i got this earlier this year (March 2022) I really liked it. I ordered it as well as a gallon of peanut oil.French fries taste best when fried in peanut oil. Everything does to be honest.And this little fryer did just that. Well until about 20 minutes ago. I plugged it in, set the temp and waited to fry some chicken nuggets for lunch.I went into the family room to watch some TV while I waited and about ten minutes latter I came to the kitchen to start putting the nuggets in the basket when I noticed the heat light was off. Now usually thats normal because it will turn off when correct temp has been reached but the oil still looked thick so I tested it by touching the outside walls of the fryer. It was slightly warm to the touch. Shortly after that it went cold.I checked the plug and it was getting electricity. The connection on the plug was clear of debris and there wasn't a burning smell that you would have if the fryer had burnt out. It just stopped working. It's not an expensive cooking tool and ordering another one wouldn't be that big of a deal but.....I believe when buying a tool that I plan to use, whether its a drill for work around the house, a vacuum for cleaning or a fryer they are all tools. And tools should last longer then 6 months of use. Also even though I used it often, I probably actually only used it 5-6 times a month.So that's like 30-35 uses during it's life span. Can you imagen having to buy a new vacuum every 6 months. No way!!!Like the words of my parents, "I'm not mad. I'm just disappointed"

Perfect for the person who lives alone and has minimal storage room and only cooks small meals. Can easily accommodate enough French fries for a meal and 8 to 12 nuggets at a time.
