I have been using Masters chalk for over 50 years and it never disappoints me.

Quality chalk

Because of the additives to get the chalk this color it practically just falls off your tip. Been shooting 30 years and I know how to shape,tap, and chalk a tip.This is either a pigment affecting the product, I got an old trash batch, or Master just started to cut corners on their quality to save money. I don't care what it is, I just know after using mainly Master's blue chalk for decades without issues, I now have issues.Oh and if you think I am using a cheap $ 50 house cue with a junk tip, you'd be wrong. If you're serious about pool you likely have a decent cue which comes with an excellent tip already.
