I don't really see this as a veggie juicer, for fresh squeezed OJ, grapefruit, lemons it's great.
I guess you can technically use it to squeeze cucumbers, but for the most part this is made for citrus fruits. yes, it will squeeze melons, and some other fruits as well, it's made for the breakfast juices like OJ, and grapefruit. It develops a powerful leveraged action to press the juice out of the orange, or other fruit. You of course half the before using. It has a filtered shield that gets all the big seeds and most of the smaller ones. You want to be careful if sing with grapes, melon, apple slices and other things not typically used in this type. Squeeze down slowly and keep every thing under the compression cup so it doesn't squirt out.Heavy metal unit won't with base that stays put when juicing. For a lot of fruits this will extract juice comparable to a good electric juicer. The good news too is squeezing, which works better for preserving antioxidant content and freshness allows this to keep fresh juice longer. A grinding type of juicer not only makes less juice to a small degree, but it will only keep for a day if you want the important antioxidants. The juice squeezed out does not torture the juice and foam off the antioxidant properties. You can put in a bottle or pitcher, keep fresh in the fridge for 3-5 days and it will still be healthy. Most of us will not bother to use this for veggies, but for OJ, or other fruit juice, easy to use and extracts a good amount of healthy juice. Recommended.

Awesome!
The media could not be loaded. Love this thing! Great quality manual juicer, so easy to set up and use pretty much right out of the box, just wash the metal pieces first. It’s made to keep you from slamming the lever down so it’s a slow press, but you still have to hold the whole thing down firmly to keep it from sliding. This thing is super heavy and really well made. I’m very impressed with it and so happy to have a nice one like this!

Now I have to return it I’m very busy, waist of time and this item is heavy too.I have received defective items in the past so many times, I threw it to the garbage. enough is enough. Wow, built like a tank!
This definitely is built to last. It is solid, and heavy, which means it stays put when you use it, which incidentally it works great. I didn’t think about it, before it arrived, but if it was flimsy, it would be really hard to use, and this is not flimsy. I always wanted one of the big automatic juicers that you see in restaurants, but they are just way too expensive. On the other hand, the small rotary ones, that you push down the fruit, and it spins, are okay, and better than nothing, but this thing is a citrus killer! If you cut your fruit in half, you can juice a dozen oranges in a very quick time. It is easy to clean, and I am very impressed with it. Enjoy!

No nonsense juicer
Just a really good manual juicer for oranges - we love fresh-squeezed, and now we can juice up a supply in little time with not much effort. This manual type is really the best - we’ve used electric ones, and you just have more control with this one. Easy to use handle, and it gets every drop of juice out of the orange! Good choice!

A nice, durable manual squeezer
This weighs a good bit and is durably made to last many years. It works well. Electric is nice but I also like to have manual tools on hand in case something quits on me, breaks, power goes out...that kind of thing. I'm glad I got this...it will last.

Buyer BEWARE
Not user friendly, extremely difficult to operate. I bought the citrus press to help speed up my juicing but unfortunately this product does the opposite. The first time I used it I knew it was getting returned- the handle gets stuck on the way down to press and I had to get my husband to unlock it. After the third time trying it my husband was out of breath from having to pull it back up to open- I do not recommend this press.

Nothing beats fresh orange or grapefruit juice.
The Machika Manual Citrus Juicer is easy to use to make fresh citrus juice. Simply cut the citrus in half at the equator and place one piece juice side down in the juicer. Pull the handle downwards and the top of the juicer presses the juice out. This juicer is very heavy so it doesn't move when juicing. It efficient because the hefty upper arm and lower juice collection press the fruit until it's flat.Nothing beets fresh orange or grapefruit juice.
