A good sturdy shield for a six-year-old boy.
This wolf clan shield is about 8 or 9 inches high. It is a foam shield sandwiched between a wooden front piece and two wooden back pieces. This design makes it sturdy but light. I recommend pairing the shield with Adventure Awaits - Wooden Toy Sword - Handmade - Lightweight Toy Sword for Outdoor Play.

This is a beautiful, well-made shield for my son
This is a beautiful, well-made shield for my son. The particular things I like about it are its sturdiness, the fact that it has a cushioning around the edges, not so much for the wielders safety, but for his brothers! I like the handle on the back it makes it easy for him to just grab and go. I would buy this again!

Good construction and nice build
Good construction and nice build. Will definitely last. The front design is very nice. Shield is small I would say for ages 1-4 an older child would need something bigger. Overall excellent the product.

Can be painful if hit with
The shield was perfect, our son wanted to be a knight for Halloween and the shield just made his costume. I believe a few of the other youngsters were a little jealous that his was a wooden shield and not plastic

The design on the shield is very well done with bright colors. It is a hit with my grandson. He is not yet even three years old but very into swords so I thought the shield would do very well to teach him how to play

After 2 weeks, and 4 boys, it's still intact as the day we got it, amazing!
My kids were so pumped when this shield and sword came in the mail. The first thing they did was grab their other shields and swords and instantly start fighting each other. I have 4 kids, all boys, so you can imagine the war zone this purchase created in my living room. My kids like the fact that they have the wolf face on both the shield and the sword, so they can say they are in the wolf clan. Lol it's been great fun watching them play and enjoy toys like these, vs spending hours staring at a screen. I try to find toys that make them use their imagination and play and not so much putting them in front of an electronic device, and this shield is exactly that type of toy. They have to use their imagination and they have fun and are active while playing with it, which makes it a great purchase in my book. I am very satisfied with this purchase, this is really well made for a children's toy, I was quite surprised, as its been a few weeks and my kids still have yet to break it!! That in itself totally makes it worth the money, because a similar set was purchased for them from rite aid, and it lasted 2 days in my house, so for this to be going strong undestroyed is amazing! I would highly recommend these over the other cheap versions your going to have to keep buying over and over again, as the pharmacy and dollar store versions are not made to last at all. I did recieve a discount on this shield in exchange for my honest unbiased opinion of it; that in no way effects my view on this item however. My review is solely based off the usage of it, and how well made it is, if it broke or was junk I'd warn you, as I expect to be warned by other reviewers of such items as well.
