Old engineering
Love this little clock, ok it ticks, most people these days do not like ticking clocks, I do. It cleanses the air stops unwanted energy coming into your home, it extracts not attracts. You soon tune into it normal rhythms. I love it

DOESN'T WORK
It takes me back to the 1970s when Chinese things looked attractive. But didn't work. 1. Trying initially to turn the "wind-up" keys and time setting stems almost defeated my power of fingers. 2. When I tried (several times) to test the thing by turning the alarm time back to current time nothing happened. I later discovered that the vibrating "hammer" which strikes the 2 "bells" atop tends to stick in its last position. 3. After serious efforts trying to actually getting it to work (2ce.) it did not produce a serious "bell" noise, but rather a muffled, low level thumping. 4. My expectation of a mechanical "alarm clock" is that the main clock should last for a week and the alarm keep going till you grab it to shut it off. The main clock on this thing runs for about 24 hours. The alarm itself for approx. 5 seconds... 5. It failed to go off either to awaken me from an afternoon nap yesterday or from sleep this morning. NOT recommended! :-/ Ps. Should this negative review result in anyone asking for it back "to check it" the answer will be "no!" It is proof of what I have said!

The alarm is loud so I will not sleep through it. The only downside is that I can hear the tick, however, it hasn’t taken long to get used to it

This clock loses two to three hours a day despite winding up am and pm it's rubbish

Well it's a bit smaller than I thought it would be. Other than that it is well made and easy to wind and operate. Just make sure you wind it each night. The alarm is pretty loud and lasts for about 25 seconds at full alarm wind. It does tick. I dont mind that though....would Def buy again. You cant find a good alarm clock anymore that doesn't rely on a battery.

El reloj es muy bonito, funciona muy bien. Hace tick-tack y eso es lo que más me gusta. La cuerda le dura poco más de 24 hr así que si le das cuerda todos los días a la misma hora no tienes problema.

It is very much like the old fashioned clocks. Very small in size, big ringer though.

Do not buy this It online. Its key moving mechanism store energy for less than a day if it used as alarm and Ring volume is also not enough to wake you up. If you can find vintage which hold large mechanical clock than go for that. But this product is useless.
