Although it looks realistic and is well made, having moved this around the garden in various locations over many days - I have realised that most birds just ignore it. It was purchased to try to stop birds using our summerhouse roof as a staging post for a toilet on the patio. However, pigeons walk up to it still feeding in the lawn, magpies peck at it, blackbirds ignore it. For us, it has been useless.

Well he is doing just what I wanted. Keeping the seagull of the roof from nesting. They sit on the neighbours roof without nesting on there roof also. They are watching but keeping a distance. My small birds don't appear to be bothered. They are still singing and landing in the garden for feeding. The falcon is as the roof in the front so is not seen to bother all the birds. Except the gulls around the boiler flue over my front door roof slope. Worth every penny spent. 👍👍

Having re-seeded most of our small lawn, we wanted something to keep the birds away to give a chance to grow. The model arrived quickly and is a good size, with a removable plug in the base so you can weight it with sand, etcIt certainly kept the pigeons off but unfortunately that's all. Starlings and blackbirds weren't bothered by the hawk at all, even though we kept changing its location.Eventually we bought cheap plastic netting and sticks from a well known major diy store, which worked perfectly and cost about the same.If the only garden birds you get are pigeons or the occasional blackbird, then the hawk is a quick, eady way to keep them off. If you have starlings then it's probably not gonna work.

We are hoping this Falcon Decoy bird will help to deter the pigeons which are such a nuisance in our garden. He is now sitting very proudly on top of our Weeping Birch tree, he certainly looks the part, only time will tell if he does the job.
