I bought this for an elderly relative who insists on swimming alone. She liked it immediately and now lets it drift behind her on the tether while swimming, and I have a little peace of mind that if she ever cramps up or has any other problems, she can quickly grab the float. The leash/tether could be a little longer to float out of the way of kicking legs, but you can easily extend the leash if desired. The float has nice grab handles on both sides, and the yellow color is bold and visible and should ensure all boats see her in the water.

I'm an anxious swimmer. This was perfect to use out snorkeling in Hawaii! When I needed a second to take a break from swimming, just float and keep my head above water without fear of waves, it worked great!
