The Great Gatsby: But Nick has Scoliosis Paperback – January 14, 2021

Really great spin on a classic. Poor Nick, I hope he gets well soon.

I’ll admit that I was skeptical, but Heese’s latest release truly DOES live up to all of the hype and buzz. Not since “Great Expectations: But Pip Has Irritable Bowel Syndrome,” and “To Kill a Mockingbird: Except Scout Has Gout,” has such a triumph of nihilist reinterpretive exegetical whimsy come along just when we needed it most. Like so many, I’ll be quite interested to see whether the upcoming cinematic release fares well with American audiences, just as the interpretive dance, flag twirling floor routine version took the inland lowland Balkans by storm earlier this year.

The original American classic found its way to a soft spot in my heart, but it always felt... incomplete — like it was missing a key anatomical subplot, I just couldn’t put my finger on it. Well, ladies and gentlemen, I’m pleased to announce that I’ve finally discovered what I’ve been searching for in Mr. Geese’s excellent rendition. His true magnum opus.

The author's reimaging of this story is a marvelous way to bring a classic back to new audiences with a twist. The cover design shows a new curve that this mother really loves!

Wow. What a fantastic read. The addition of a sentence in each chapter detailing Nick’s scoliosis was just what this novel needed in order to be adapted for a modern audience. A true delight!

Emotionally and medically inspired

I love this book, it helped me overcome my self confidence issues with my scoliosis, I come from a family where the disease is prominent and being able to relate with a character in a book means a lot to all of us, thank you Dick C.Heese
