I waited until I had owned and used this rock salt lamp for at least one full year before submitting a review for it and here are the takeaways from my experience with it thus far.But before I begin, I'd like to point out that this lamp has been used in my office from Monday through Friday every week for roughly 8-9 hours a day.When I initially opened the box and took out the bulb socket I remember how thin and fragile the bulb was. It actually cracked with minimal force being used to screw it in. Now instead of just replacing the bulb, Amazon has to replace the ENTIRE product (which I have grown to accept). So the hassle of repackaging it and sending it over to UPS and then receiving the replacement lamp was a bit time consuming just to replace the bulb - but that part has nothing to do with my two-star review.The reason I give two stars is due to the fact that this lamp has completely died on me after the third bulb replacement. That is exactly one full year and two months. Prior to replacing the third bulb, I noticed that the lamp would flicker and flutter quite frequently which was very distracting and is what caused me to replace the bulb. However, now seeing that the lamp has ceased to exist, I do not believe the bulb needed to be replaced at all.Just the other week I had noticed a VERY potent smell of burning plastic and wiring coming from my office and I immediately unplugged the lamp. The salt lamp has obviously become defective and caused me to temporarily relocate my laptop to a different room in order to avoid inhaling toxic fumes. So herein lies the reason for my two-star review. If you need a salt lamp that will last you just (approx.) one year then this one should suffice. But anything beyond that and you'll have a fire hazard on your hands.I would avoid this one and get a more reputable salt lamp (something with better wiring and safeguards). But when the lamp was working, it was great and did what it was advertised to do - but the lamp light itself did seem a bit dim to me.

I read a lot of really bad reviews about these lamps in general all over amazon and I was skeptical in ordering one. I have to say I am so glad I did! I needed a new night light for my toddler, one that didn't cast as many shadows as a plug in wall light does and this is so perfect. It can be dimmed enough that it doesn't bother me while sleeping. Since receiving it she has slept so much better. It was packed really well, came in perfect condition and it works wonders. I've also noticed that since we got it and plugged it in I have not had an allergy attack and neither has she. I would suggest this lamp to everyone. It comes just as described, is absolutely beautiful, and it has been a total life saver for us.

This lamp is beautiful, a great price, and heavy.The first one I bought was broken. The missing piece was not anywhere in the box, which leads me to believe I received a used lamp. I got in touch with Amazon customer service and they sent me a new one.There were also broken pieces of salt when I first opened the box, but this is inevitable so I did not take a star off for that. Just something to be aware of!

I ordered 2 lamps, 1 of them was beautiful, as pictured. The other one was quite a bit smaller and looks as if its two halves glued together. It has a very distinct line all the way around it. I'm hoping it doesn't come apart. The bulb was also smashed in shipping. Packing for both lamps was very poor. Other than that Im pleased with them. I put one in my bedroom which seems to be making a difference. Other one in my living room is too small for the room size, so I will most likly order another one.

Love the color and the shape I am re-ordering another one the only thing that I didn’t like was the bottom my other one that I have has a plastic mechanism that keeps the cord off this one just has cut outs in the wood but I really like color and the shape of the salt rocks so I can overlook that small detail very pretty I hope I get a nice one again

I love this lamp, my husband said it must be a fake because the price was so good....... I made him lift it up......very heavy....real thing .......he also said, it probably isn't even salt...........I made him lick it ............definatly the real thing......... Once again he was wrong. I don't know if it was psychological, or what ...but , I felt better altogether , having this lamp next to my bed, from the first night I got it. The lamp also has a very good dimmer control on it. I love my lamp and I'm so glad I bought it from this seller. They are very expensive elsewhere, great price and quality here..I ordered it on my prime, and it was here in 2 days!

The product is 5 stars, but the shipping only 2 stars.Salt lamps are extremely delicate, and I was surprised to receive this with absolutely NO PACKING MATERIALS! The original box from the company was simply placed inside a larger Amazon box, with no protection. Thankfully, my lamp arrived with no damage to it, and I had already paid for the warranty.The product is top notch though!!! It's the perfect sized lamp for my bedroom, and surprisingly bright. I love the soft, warm glow. And I love that the brightness is adjustable. I am very pleased with this purchase, and would definitely recommend HemingWeigh to people!
