A Bargain for Ocassional Use
Subjectively, these probes seem to be somewhat better made than the standard 1x/10x probes shipped with a new Rigol. Using the scope's calibration signal, mine were accurate at 100:1, and the neither of the two I received required any compensation adjustment. (They include an adjustment tool, and the trimmer is on the BNC-connector/attenuator end.) There is 1-meter (39") of cable between the probe and the attenuator/connector.According to the included spec sheet, the probes are rated to 2KV peak up to about 40KHz. Then the rating drops steeply to about 200V at 1MHz and 100V at 100MHz (maximum rating). I don't see a category rating on them (II?). I'm using mine for measuring up to just under 900 Volts at up to 30KHz with no problem.Considering the price point, these seem to be pretty good probes for occasional use or for hobby work. I suspect that anything better would probably mean five to ten times as much (or more) on the likes of a Pomona or a Tek.
