Ferretone works wonders on several fronts. First off - yes it is great for their hair (I'm sure this isn't the first review you've read about Ferretone). Pricewise it is WAY less than a major competitor to achieve the same results and most importantly - ferrets love it (well - most of them - more on that to come). My wife and I were heavily involved in a ferret rescue for quite a while. At one time I think we had 13 ferrets in our home, several were personal pets and the remaining were foster ferrets from the rescue. One of the things you will learn when having ferrets is that you need to distract them whilst cutting their nails. One great way is to flip them on their back and put a small puddle of Ferretone on their belly. Here's the thing - some ferrets don't know they like ferretone. You have to get them to 'try' it so they don't think you are poisoning them (ferrets can be VERY picky). Take a dab and rub it on their nose / mouth so they can get the taste. DON'T drown them in it! Just a dab! This container can last a very long time when used sparingly. We also use Ferretone to mix in to 'soup'. Soup consists of ground up ferret food, Ferretone (used sparingly) and warm water. You might consider a dash of honey too. Any way you look at it - Ferretone is a superior product compared to it's competitors and it is much cheaper to boot.

This stuff is great. My ferret absolutely loves this stuff. I put a little over her food everyday. Over the last month I could really tell a difference in my ferret's health. When we adopted her, she was very tiny and her fur was very thin & brittle. Since using this ferretone daily, she has plumped up & is looking very healthy. Her fur has really filled out and is fluffy. Plus, it helps to use a little bit of this as a reward or treat system for training. It also lasts quite a while, since we got a decently sized bottle. I will definitely buy more of this.

My ferret loves this stuff!!! It’s amazing to mix with his food and I also give him some small drops when he behaves as a treat. It’s great for many purposes but I can notice it on his fur. He’s very healthy and enjoys his ferret tone.

My ferrets get this as a treat and when I need to cut their nails. They love this and will go crazy when they hear the bottle shake. They have a soft coat their skin is in great condition. I started using it shortly after I got the ferrets because I wanted a way that would make cutting their nails easy. I place a small amount on their tummy, and while they are busy licking it off I can cut their nails with no hassle. I always keep a bottle on hand and they get a small treat that helps their coat. I would recommend this to any ferret owner.

Most ferrets go nuts for this stuff. One of ours didn't care for it though, so apparently not all of them. It's good as a supplement if you only feed them kibble. We mainly use it in our own duck soup concoction that they get fed daily on top of the kibble in their cage. I can only assume it helps with their skin and coat, but they've always had good skin and coats. Ferrets don't need treats, so don't go crazy giving it to them. They treat it like crack, but they don't need more than the directions state. It's also what vets use to keep the fuzzies occupied, so it can also help when you need to cut their nails or...dress them up...or something. Bigger bottle than expected. Same price as bottles half the size in the store. Very pleased. I dont think they stink as much when you add this to their food, makes nail clipping a breeze because they absolutely lick contently, and their coat is definitely much softer after using this daily for a couple of months.

This is invaluable to my small arsenal of ferret-care products. Both of my fuzzies love it, it has a thin spout that dispenses easily for measuring, and it mixes into food quickly and evenly. I stir it into their dry food, and they go nuts about it - definitely a kind of enthusiasm they don't have if they're getting plain food. It's a super simple way to make sure they get their vitamins, and I can see a clear difference in the thickness and health of their coats since I started using it. (Plus, my boy is a little fatter... he's an enthusiastic eater.)I love this stuff. It's easier to distribute to them than the vitamin paste, and I like being able to see clear results. Second time buying it. I like to add a half-dose to my ferrets' daily meat-meal. They get a 100% (no additives as in their dry food) meat dish every morning, and I like to give them this stuff when I mix it up. I add one half dose to their meal about everyday-every other day or two. Once a week, I add the "other" half dose to their dry food I give them in the evening. For dry food, I buy Wellness CORE turkey for kittens. One ferret I rescued went from nearly hairless, yellow, fur, and scrawny to a healthy full coat (that was even before this oil) and normal color. When I started getting this stuff, all five ferrets just "fluffed" up - their undercoat just got softer and softer. Every bath, their outer coat just glistens with health!
