LiftAid Transfer and Walking Gait Belt with 6 Hand Grips and Quick-Release Buckle (Blue)

We have several regular gait belts from our different surgeries. This belt is MUCH better than the other ones. I feel more confident having loops to hang onto. If my husband starts to lean to one side, I am able to stabilize him more easily. It seems to be more ergonomic. The way it snaps closed is so much easier than using a metal loop. I never hesitate to buy medical items that I think will make us safer, and this is one purchase that I’m definitely glad I made!

This gait belt has been a lifesaver for my husband. He is frail and after two hospital visits in three weeks, I worry about his ability to walk without falling. I put this on him and hold onto the handles as he walks with a walker. It is such a relief to me that this is in our life. It is extremely well made. My husband's three home health therapists have all commented on the quality of the belt, and wrote down the brand name to suggest this to their other clients. I couldn't be any happier with this product.

This is a quality product which was put to use as soon as we received it. My father has Parkinsons and began falling now and again. He is a tall man and while caring for him this belt gives me more confidence as a shorter female to be sure I can help prevent a potential fall. It was requested by his care taker and I am very grateful he steered me to this particular belt with all the loops.

This is our first gait belt for my daughter who has Cerebral palsy. I was hesitant to buy a gait belt because I had only see the plane belt type ones. But this one is great with the handles. It makes transfers so much easier.My only negative is the material is scratchy and does have some sharp points where fabric is folded over and sewn. When she has clothes on it is fine but we were hoping to use this to transfer in and out of the tub and bed(during times she is naked). And with the sharp spots we have to wrap a towel around her first so it doesn't contact her skin directly. Not a deal breaker for sure but something to be aware of.

I bought this for my family after my dad had a stroke. A gait belt was recommended by some nurse friends of mine, so I thought I would give this one a shot. Everyone, including his physical therapists, has been raving about this product. It has been so easy to use and they love the convenient handles. I would highly recommend this if you're in the market for a gait belt.

I have to use a gait belt with my Mom but I wish the product ( as in all gait belts) has more of a cushion around the buckle. It has a tendency to "dig in". I put a sleeve of sheep skin around the buckle and it is much more comfortable. The extra grips on the belt are fabulous!!!!!! My Mom's therapist liked it so much she ordered one too!

Extremely well made, sturdy with plenty of handles. Very helpful in lifting and stabilizing someone while waking, and there is room for 3 people to all have a grip on the belt at the same time. An essential aid in helping someone keeping their balance while walking or standing. So MUCH better than trying to hang on to their arms or back. You'll wish you had bought one sooner. Do NOT get the one simply listed as gait belt, the one without handles, they are fairly useless.

DO NOT BUY !! 2 belt clasps failed !!This belt should be removed from Amazon. Taken off the market !!I saw another review with the same problem.I bought 3 of these belts because the price was right. My daughter has epilepsy resulting in falls if she has a seizure.She always needs assistance when walking in case of a seizure. She leaned forward, clasp released, hit the floor face first. Resulting in a broken , bloody nose. I got one of the other belts thinking maybe that one was defective. A month later that one released too. Luckily no injuries.The belt itself is made well. The clasp is the problem. These belts should be recalled.
