I wish I had it still
Such a game changer but as Covid dragged on I sold it. I’ll be looking for a newer version, not latest version next year to supplement my MacBook Air

Excellent device with some glaring omissions
This device is amazing. Sleek, fast with m1, screen is beautiful. All that Apple needs to do is to update iPadOS so that it has better:1) multitasking and windowing support;2) a file management app that actually has a format media and an unmount media function (as it stands you can’t currently unmount your external disk safely on iPadOS14.. which can lead to data loss, and you also can’t format a disk using the iPad);3) multi-monitor support that uses the full aspect ratio of the external display and can display in extended mode. As it stands, the current implementation on iPadOS is to display a mirrored image of the iPad’s screen onto an external monitor. There’s no ability on a system level to display a separate image on the external monitor (some apps have this function but it’s a per-app feature rather than a system wide feature). This defeats the whole point of using a monitor with the iPad in the first place. I don’t want the image to be mirrored. The second issue with multi monitor support is a more egregious limitation in my opinion. That is, the iPad will not by default display an image on the external monitor in its native aspect ratio. Most monitors these days are 16x9 or 16x10, but the iPad will by default display its image in 4x3 mode, meaning there will be black bars to the sides of the image on the external monitor. This is egregious. The iPad only uses a portion of the external monitor instead of using the whole screen. The very same m1 chip inside the iPad Pro is also inside of various macs, and all of these m1 devices except the iPad can display an image to an external monitor in the monitor’s native aspect ratio. So this is a limitation that Apple has chosen to allow to exist. Apple really needs to fix this. But other than these quirks and limitations, the iPad Pro is a fabulous device. I love it.

I was skeptical, but it was legit!
I just received (yesterday) my new iPad Pro 11 wifi+cellular 2TB 3rd Gen (current model is 4th gen) tablet. The price from this seller (Expercom) was so low that I thought there must be a catch. I couldn't see a "Condition" in the product details. But, after I added it to my cart and went through checkout, I could see somewhere in there that it said "Condition: New". I still figured there must be a catch. A refurb? A grey market item? I didn't know. The price was less than a Certified Refurb from Apple.Nope. It arrived yesterday in the normal shrink-wrapped white box, inside a sealed brown cardboard box - exactly as it shipped from Apple. I activated it and then purchased AppleCare coverage. All good.I couldn't see anywhere to buy AppleCare during the purchase process from Amazon. That was another thing that had me skeptical. So, I bought the Asurion 2-yr coverage during checkout. After I got it and activated it, I checked the serial number on Apple's website (checkcoverage.apple.com). It checked out as legit, with my warranty starting yesterday when I activated it. There, it gave me the option to purchase AppleCare. I did that and then came back to Amazon and did a Return on the Asurion coverage for a full refund.Truly an amazing deal on a really, really nice iPad.

Love the bigger screen
I love the bigger screen on the iPad over my old iPad. It really enhances my usage and really makes it convenient to multitask while also being able to do so much at once. The colors on the screen are amazing and the M2 chip makes for super fast speeds and incredible performance.

Don’t hesitate
I was looking to replace my iPad Pro 2016 9.7” model. To me, the Pro is worth paying a little bit more for, and when I saw it on Amazon for $100 off the Apple price, I had to jump on it. It didn’t disappoint. The gen 3 iPad is beautiful. It’s a bit heavier than my older Pro but the M1 with 8GB RAM and 120hz speed is phenomenal. This iPad rocks and I love having 4 speakers as well. Set up was a breeze and took under an hour to restore this iPad to my old iPad settings via the cloud. It also has a feature where you can set it next to your old iPad and it will transfer the data automatically. It is extremely well-built as usual, and the response is incredible. If I had any complaints it would be the short charging cord. For the price of these tablets you’d think apple could give us another 2 ft. Also, there’s no way you’re getting “all-day” power unless it’s just minimal activity. However, it certainly lasts long enough for my marathon art sessions. Highly recommend this beauty, especially at these great prices. If only the iPencil would go on sale, but it never does. This tablet lives up to the hype!

It feels like I took a step down in quality
I had an ipad air 3rd gen. I needed more storage than what was available on the ipad air. This works just fine, but the wy the screen flexes makes this feel flimsy. I don’t think I paid the sort of price that would deserve a flimsy table, but that’s what I got. Plus I had to buy a new apple pencil 2 ( thanks apple). The handwriting in apple notes doesn’t work as well as my old ipad air. It keeps trying to create symbols from the words I am writing incursive, while I am still writing. My old ipad never did this and I find it annoying and distracting. This works fine, but I expected a step up and not a step down. I would have returned it and kept using my ipad air if I didn’t need the storage.I do find the slightly larger size of this screen (11” vs. 10.5”) noticeably better. I didn’t expect that, but there it is.Also, in many cases, it takes much longer to open my apple notes documents than my old ipad air took. M1 chip didn’t make it better. The ipad is a great device, and I use mine every single day. I just think it should provide a sense of unrivaled quality like my iphone 13 pro and my mac book pro do. This feels like it was made by an inferior competitor to the company that made those other two devices.
