Wood Crate

Love these crates! I have about 2 dozen and use them in a variety of ways, as re-arrangeable units in different living situations: use with natural wood boards for a bookcase, stack in different ways for bedside table or sofa side table, arrange several with a glass top for a coffee table, as shoe storage in entryway, add a tiny shelf for DVD storage . When moving, they serve to protect fragile items: pack something in one, then nest two around it and cable-tie them together, then pack in a cardboard box. Not good for moving books or heavy items (they're held together with small nails), but they do make a good bookcase.They can be stained, painted, polyurethaned, or just left as is.

Bought these to stain in a green color. Note that the bottom of the crate is not a solid piece. The two short sides of the box are solid, the long sides and bottom are made of slats.
