12 x 24 x 0.04 Inch Acrylic See-Through Mirror, 30% Transparent

I used this with a laser cutter to make some perforated plastic lenses for a Halloween mask. It cut incredibly cleanly, and the plastic protective coating on both sides prevented any scratches or marring during the process.Even without the perforations, the plastic is transparent enough to see through.The only downside is that I ordered a sheet that was a little too thin and therefore it's easy to break if flexed, but that is buyer error and not the fault of the manufacturer.Can't beat the price for the quality of the material. Just remember to remove the film on each side after cutting.

This arrived in a giant box! I was so worried it was going to be broken, but it was very very bubble wrapped inside. It arrived in perfect condition. I made a huge magic mirror for a class project, and it worked out great! It's thick, but yes, you can see through it. I really enjoyed working on this project! Ended up getting a B in the class (aww ysss)! And yes, I know it's expensive. Trust me I did quite a bit of looking around and almost bought something cheap. But I think if you're going to make something for your house that you intend to use daily, or for a gift, spend the money on a quality peice of acrylic. The company even reached out to me to make sure everything was ok when it arrived. Spend the money, it's seriously worth it!Warning!! I suggest working with something a bit smaller though if you don't have the right kind of frame (like me). It tends to bow out, like it's falling out of the frame, but when I have time I plan on fixing the frame so it stays in place. Make sure you have your measurements right!! I'd suggest working with a local framing company if you'd like to put this in a shadow box type of fixture.

This product is great and worked very well for an infinity mirror that I was building. My only issue is that I bought a frame that this 12x12 mirror should have fit in but this was just a little larger and I had to trim it down to get it to fit. In the process of trimming it down, I made a gash on it which is visible now but that was my fault for using a blade to try to trim it down more. I wish this would have been exactly 12x12 then I would have given this 5 stars.

This acrylic looks great, but it is very sensitive to any touches. I ran my finger down the mirror while cleaning it and it left a large unsightly scratch right down the center. I ended up purchasing the glass instead in hopes that will be more durable than the acrylic..

UPDATE: got a replacement, and it's just as bad, if not worse. If you're using it for a magic mirror project, just bite the bullet and go with a glass one. This one is prone to bad defects.After delivery, you have to remove 3 protective films in total. This gave me confidence the acrylic would be in good condition, but upon removing the film, it had a long diagonal streak going through the middle. I thought this was maybe a scruff from me removing the protective layer, but it was in fact between layers of the acrylic, and could not be cleaned.What more, upon cleaning with ordinary windex and a lint free cloth, the reflective material began to wipe off.Poor quality and fragile. If you get it in perfect condition, install it and don't touch it. Otherwise send it back for a replacement or shop somewhere else, because it'll damage easily.

I used this to build a 6" infinity cube. It worked fine for that. It was packaged carefully and the fragile mirror side has a film attached. The acrylic cut easily.The only issue I had was one that I somewhat expected because it's only .04" thick: The pieces are a bit flexible. An infinity mirror needs fairly flat mirrors. It still works, but the reflections aren't completely straight due to very slight bends in the mirrors. I can't complain because I expected some flexibility, but if I were to make another of these I would buy the thicker version.

I got this for a personal project that required mirrors, in particular a mirror I could see through, and it works REALLY well for that purpose. The only issue is that the very slim thickness (0.04 inches) makes it pretty fragile. Other than that, very nice, useful, and pretty easy to trim to size! And MUCH lighter than a glass mirror!

From what I can see, the reflectivity of the mirror is really good and as soon as I get everything completed I'll add photos to show it. The mirror itself had a small fracture in the top middle of it which was a slight bummer but I should be able to cover it in the project I'm using it for. The box itself wasn't even labeled as fragile so it's most definitely Amazon's fault, not the seller's, yet the seller gets punished for it. Will definitely look to purchase again for other projects.

Mirror has no protection on it at all and the mirroring comes off with just cleaning alone. I literally was using a soft paper towel to clean it and it removed the mirroring. Very disappointed

This is a great product for Physics nerds like me.At 40% reflectance, it makes a great beam splitter for making optics demonstrations, and it laser cuts beautifully into useful thin shims that can be fitted into 3D printed mounts for optics and sensors that have very tight space requirements.This is a must have item for use in any physics lab, optics course, or optoelectronics course.Just add transfer tape onto the surface before laser cutting and we used the same settings for cutting 2mm acrylic sheets to cut this mirror.Great value for money. Anybody with access to laser cutters that can cut 2mm thick acrylic can use this to make all sorts of neat lab demonstrations and lab equipment. (Maybe even make your own game of Khet). Currently being used to test photodiode based sensors.The material is brittle at 1mm thick, so if it is cut into thin shims it can easily snap if you push too hard on it, and it is possible to scrape the surfaces really easily, so 3D prints should include gaps that prevent scraping of these optical surfaces during insertion into your project.The 2nd clear plastic layer can sometimes be a bit hard to find and remove, but overall the 40% reflective 1mm thick acrylic mirror is a great product and I will order it again.

Used this material to create lenses for a mask I 3d printed.It is exactly as advertised and I have no complaints.Material can be scored with a sharp x-acto blade, moved over an edge of a table, and pressed down upon in order to cut it into smaller sizes - note that like any acrylic, you must apply even pressure and make sure your score mark is deep enough.If used in the application of a mask/lenses, assuming the interior of the mask is as dark as possible, the transparency is comparable to wearing sunglasses. The opposite side is a perfectly mirrored surface.Did not have any damage for defects when I received it.

1mm/3mm - 30%Wurden ohne Mängel geliefert, verpackt in Pappe und Bubble-Folie. Wie kratzfest das Ganze ist kann ich noch nicht sagen, aber vorsichtig anfassen geht ;) Gute Spiegelung und Durchlässigkeit
