Edited review:A day or so after posting my original 2 star review and sending my original unit for refund, I was contacted by Saicoo's customer service, who offered to replace my defective unit at no charge. I accepted their offer and got the replacement in the mail a couple days ago. I'm happy to report that this one connects to my phone no problem and allows my phone to read from a connected SD card. I still have to see how it does out in the field (rather than at home), but I can gladly report it works well. I will revise this review in the future if there are further things I can report. Big thanks to the extremely responsive customer service.Original review:Wouldn't hold a connection when plugged into my OnePlus One phone. It worked with a solid connection maybe one time, and that one time I was able to pull pictures from my camera's SD card to my phone, but other than that, the connection was spotty at best and would connect and disconnect sporadically. I'm hoping it's just because I got a defective unit, but it just wasn't working for me.

1 week review: Nice little gadget. As others have said, the micro-usb folds into the unit and stores neatly. I used it both from the full-size USB plug and thru the micro. Performance was speedy through both connections when reading from an SD card which held over 1000 photos. Backing up/transferring those photos took under a minute and there were no issues. Device was seen by Win10 tablet no problems. I will make sure it's in my pack no matter which one I grab to go out with.

I've just got this and tested it as a USB reader, and it worked fine for both SD and Micro SD (128GB). Also tested it as an OTG (On The Go) cable in my S7 Edge, and again works fine with no issues. Using the default Samsung file manager, I was able to browse the files on my SD card in the reader plugged into my phone, play audio files, and copy them to the SD card in the phone. NOt bad.I like that the OTG cable stows away as it's not a feature I expect to use a lot. Only thing to make this perfect would be a USB female slot to read USB drives to the phone. Still, def 5 stars as an initial impression.

Using this as a secondary reader for a DoD computer has been mostly fine. The only issue that occasionally occurs is what i would describe as a timeout error. Happens about 1 in every 10 cards. Could be the GPO’s, but havent dove into the logs to confirm. Otherwise its a great choice for a secondary reader if you are in a customer service role and deal with CAC’s all day.

Worked the first time, the second time it corrupted everything on the memory card and fried the memory card. Absolutely do not purchase.

This is a nice product. It's very easy to use, just plug and play.I did have an issue because at first I ordered a Non-VA compatible reader.Once I order the VA compatible it worked perfectly.

Great way to backup your SD cards while on the move. I used my android tablet on my last photo shoot as my backup device using this product. Worked perfectly and is very small and easy to carry.I can use this with both my Surface PC and my Samsung tablet. Great design, versatile and compact.

Computers now a days don’t have CD drives. I should’ve read the description better, so that’s partly my fault. But I didn’t see that this came with a CD until it arrived.
