Sigh...these utility knives had everything I wanted in a utility knife. Quick release button for one handed opening, quick release for blade swaps, pocket clip, and thin, low profile body. Unfortunately, the blade quick release button fell out of the knife I've been carrying for just 2 days. I have no idea where it went or why it fell out, but I cannot release the blade to change it. I've only used the knife for breaking down a few boxes and some minimal cutting of other things. I certainly haven't abused it, though it should be able to handle some decent level of abuse, it is a utility knife after all. These knives are on the more expensive end of basic utility knives, and an Amazon product, but a critical failure after only 2 days of carrying and limited use is a significant problem. I bought 4 of them to have spares but will be returning all because if the first one I used was junk within 2 days, I can expect the same for the rest.

...as it should, because that is it's one and only function. This is a great utility knife. The case included with the knife will surely make it easy to carry, I don't intend to carry it, but to each their own. The size, and design of this basic item as well as the blue color are so impressive I began to think maybe we put too much emphasis on the aesthetic of a utility knife, again to each their own. I will say that the design and material are likely a factor in the functionality of the utility knife and the feeling of the knife in your hand while using it, all good on that front. I can't really say much else considering it is a basic item and performs exactly as expected. I would definitely buy again unless the reason I am buying another utility knife is because the current knife has broken in a shorter than expected time frame causing questions about its durability. I will add this regarding some of the other reviews - first, I personally don't make a decision to buy a basic $5 or $6 item based on reviews. That would be be strange, honestly. Second, one review indicates the purchaser paid $3 (1/2 what I paid) and they expected the basic utility knife to be better as far as functionality. What? It opens, it cuts (great blade included), it closes. If you expect a utility knife to be something more than that, you might want to consider that a utility knife is not what you need. What else is a utility knife supposed to do? How could you expect anything more from a basic item that cost only $3 and was delivered to you? Another wanted the blade to have a smoother operation, I think they want it to flip open/shut like a switchblade. To that I say, good luck buying a $6 switchblade and remember that you bought a utility knife, not a switchblade. Definitely worth the price and extraordinary convenience of being delivered directly to my house.

Bought the red one first. Should have read reviews more carefully, several were saying the red one doesn't hold the blade well while the blue one does. Wouldn't even imagine this being the case, but it is. They're built slightly different. The red one I got, the blade chipped so I flipped it but it wouldn't lock in. I tried brand new blades, none would lock in. I put them up against this blade, EXACTLY the same, but none would stay locked. I flipped back to the chipped side, locks fine. Only that side of that blade (I tested about 8 new ones I had). Otherwise nice little cutter, so buy the blue one!

panic bought this after breaking my kobalt knife. it's fine, all it does is hold a blade. it's bulky, but it does what it needs

I have has this box cutter for less then 4 months and it broke already. The locking mechanism popped out.

I am liking this knife a lot. I use it to cut up recycling, but also in my artwork. The blade is very sharp. The handle makes it easy to hold.There is a blade guard and the knife folds to fit into a carrying case.

I like the overall hand profile and the weight/thickness of the blade. I do wish that the rotational mechanism was more “smooth” so that I could flip it open and closed more easily. I picked it up for around $3 so I’d say it’s well worth the money. It cuts well and the blade storage is a nice design feature. Overall, I think it’s about what you’d expect for how much you’re paying- other blades might be more functional or smooth, but this gets the job done just fine.

I have purchased two so far and the first one worked pretty well except that it is SUPER difficult to replace the blade. The second had an issue with the unlocking mechanism. It jammed when you pressed the unlocking button so you had to push really hard to get it to unlock. And any time you’re having to fight with a knife to open, bad things happen. The blade replacement seems easier on this second one though. I issued a return because it’s so difficult to open and Amazon is replacing it free of charge. Hopefully the next one comes in with both mechanisms working. Otherwise I’ll just start buying them somewhere else. I like that it has a large grip though and the bright colors make it easier to find because I tend to just set them down wherever I used them last. Would have just rated it 2 stars but Amazon is replacing it.

Molto pratico da usare. Prodotto resistente e robusto ma che rimane comunque molto leggero. La lama è molto affilata e il manico comodo da impugnare lo rendono molto pratico. Dotato di un pulsante per poter sostituire la lama all'occorrenza e di una sicurezza, per poter ripiegare il taglierino. Completamente in acciaio è dotato anche di un "gancio" per poterlo agganciare alla cintura.

Très pratique et très sécurisé. Parfait pour maquettes et modélisme.

Mich hat dieses Messer sehr überrascht. Es ist sehr wertig verarbeitet, richtig schwer und stabil. Hatte bei diesem Preis mehr Plastik erwartet. Dazu ist die Klinge (noch) sehr scharf. Der Klappmechanismus (mit Sicherheitsknopf) funktioniert auch gut. Alles in allem ein schickes und gutes Messer für ein gepflegtes Unboxing.
