Stitch Alphabets & Numbers: 120 contemporary designs for cross stitch and needlepoint

I'd like to begin by agreeing with some other reviewers' criticisms of this book: firstly, there are only 3 alphabet collections (each including only letters, "&", and a matching border) plus 3 number collections (each include 0-9 and a matching design for what appears to be the hyphen symbol; "-"). The back of the book implied to me that there would be 6 different designs for the letters that also included numbers. Secondly, the number and letter themes do not match, so if using this for a project that includes both, you would need to choose separate pattern schemes for the letters and the numbers.That being said, I am still very pleased with this book and it is rightly priced. The fonts really are beautiful and show examples for further customization by the author. The patterns are very easy to read and follow, which also allows for even further color and pattern customization of your choosing without much difficulty for all fonts. There are also pages showing completed projects using the characters in the book for various designs, as well as some helpful instruction in the front of the book for completion of projects. I cannot wait to try some of these patterns out as soon as this review is finished, I definitely got what I wanted out of this one!

The problem with buying craft books online is expectation vs reality. I thought this was a book of alphabets patterns for xstitch, but it really only contains 4 or 5 large format project alphabets. They're very pretty and would be great for throw pillows or big wall hangings with birthdates or whatever, but they were not remotely useful for the project I had in mind. Oh well. I'm sure I'll use the patterns someday as they are very pretty

Nice designs. I was kind of surprised that the letters didn't have corresponding numbers in the same styles. I would have been happier if that was the case. I can use the book for sure, but that was unexpected.

Loved this book! Very beautiful just to sit and page through. I don't like that I don't have enough time to stitch everything.

The designs are fun and innovative. I wish the designer would provide a way to scale the design to a smaller version.

Nice book, easy to read

Have as gift thought it contained a variety of letters and numbers but each page was a template for a single letter as depicted on front of book. Old fashioned. V disappointed. Theses books should show sample of book contents.

its probably my fault but I had thought that 120 designs meant 120 alphabets and set of numbers. this book has detailed plans for 3 alphabets & 3 sets of numbers

Brilliant book. I love all the charts. This book makes me want more designs by Felicity Hall.

Really like this book of charts. Use lettering a lot and this will be a favourite
