BRAVO! Perfect fit, much stronger. BUY THIS ONE
I have the Hayward Superpump. These are a simple replacement and they fit perfectly. This is a much better replacement than the original part. The original nut is some kind of nylon and strips out over time. The brass nut here is much stronger. Additionally, the threads are more coarse on this bolt and nut which also means they'll resist stripping out more (but also means replace both not just the nut or the bolt).I would imagine that Hayward ships the nylon bolt fearing that people will over-tighten and crack the top or body of the pump's filter basket. I suppose that's a legitimate reason, so just don't do that. If you make sure the gasket is seated properly and in good shape, then apply some pool gasket sealer like "magic lube" (yeah, it's not that, it's for pool parts not human parts) you shouldn't need to crank these down so hard the pump breaks.I am 100% satisfied with this purchase and would purchase again. When the other side fails, I'll also replace it with one of these (which I now sitting in my spare parts box for when that happens).

Solid Replacement
One of my original pool pump lid knobs for my Hayward Superpump broke after 4 years so went to the local pool supply store to pick up a replacement (because things like this always happen at the most inopportunetime). Not sure what the difference is as it was suppose to be an OEM but after a few weeks the threads stripped out on this replacement. They were sold in a 2-pack so tried the other one, thinking maybe I got a bad one - but nope, it stripped out as well. Almost like the threaded rod isn't long enough to get a solid grip in the threads. This replacement is great and works way better! Just need to be careful to not crank it down too tight since now the weakest point is no longer the threads, but the plastic insert on the "pump and strainer housing" that the basket this sits in. And of course that is more expensive to replace than these knobs. The other original knob still works, but going to order a second one of these for when it fails.

Perfect Fit, better than OEM
I’ve purchased the Southeastern Accessory Pool Pump Lid Knob w/Brass Nut to replace the one sold by the original equipment maker, which comes with a plastic, ready-to-break nut. I was surprised how easy it was to install it. It fits in smoothly and provides the satisfaction that it will stick around for years because the nut is 100% metal. On top of that, it’s way less expensive than the one that breaks before or at around 12 months from purchase. I would recommend it to any one looking for a permanent replacement for their Pool Pump lid knob with nut.

Excellent replacement for the original nuts and screws
We replace these on our Hayward pump when the old plastic nuts had been stripped. These were brass, and have much higher quality. We are totally satisfied.

Great item!
These are so much better than the plastic ones that come with the pool pump. Those tend to get brittle and break, especially in the got sun.One word of warning though, don't overtighten the knobs, or you might crack your basket cover.

Metal parts
The original was plastic, hard to turn, and the plastic cracked in less than a year. This one won't get brittle and turns easily. The manufacturer needs to start using the brass nut assembly.
