This booklet is well worth the money. It’s pattern is well written and easy to follow
I’ve made several of the cuffed ponchos for gifts, and they have been greatly appreciated and loved by the recipient.

Simple easy simply not, to me.
I am writing this as someone who is by no means an expert, or even very knowledgeable n crochet. I have dabbled for many years. But after re-making the one side 5 ti0es and pulling it out again, I find the instructions very difficult to understand. They start, are clear up to a point, and then simply leave it up to you to figure out how to get to a point at which you should have x-numer of rows and a total number of stitches. I am a simple, easy pattern crocheter, but the author appears to be writing a simple easy pattern for an experienced crocheter who just wants a quick pattern to do. Assuming that they will know how to proceed from the end of instructions to the final goalpost.

Nice
The one thing I truly love about Leisure Arts patterns is the yarn that is used is readily available to us "ordinary " folks not some exotic stuff that is hard to find, also the patterns are always written in concise and easy to understand.

The main garment shown on the cover is a nice item, but the rest of the styles are so similar that there are really only 3 distinct designs in this booklet. I found the sizing to run far smaller than stated, but my yarn tension and crochet style tighten any pattern I use.

cuffed shawl
I've just finished making the cuffed shawl for the second time. I used King Cole chunky and a 6.5 crochet hook both times and was very pleased with how they turned out. The pattern uses American terminology but only two basic stitches used so no problems there. If you did want to change the size it would be very straightforward. Do a few more or less rows. Mine did work out to the size stated. Very pleased with it

Love this pattern book
Love this pattern book. Have made the main cuffed shawl twice now. It is a perfect garment, with easy instructions. One to be made many times over in different weights of yarn, as easy to use pattern for any weight with same size hook.

Fantastic Book
So pleased I took other comments on board and bought this book. Soooo much more than just a cuffed shawl. Some great designs and well worth the money, which I did think at first was rather expensive for one design. But since changed my mind - can't wait to get started. Good for both novice and more experienced person I think.

Great pattern
This is quite good I have made the cuffed shawl it is the usual problem of a USA book that you have to guess on wool quanties I used chunky and did a tension square it took more wool than I had thought
