I use both the Armor hooks and the soft touch and both of them are well suited for my style of crochet (I work with my hook overhand like a pencil, so these hooks might not suit your needs if you use the hook differently. I wouldn't know) I'm a well-seasoned crochet artist and people ask me to teach them all the time. When I actually do teach people how to crochet, I always make sure to give them a Clover hook. It's very well suited for beginners and even experts at both slow and fast pace. I would also like to note that when my grandmother first tought me how to crochet, she gave me a Clover hook. She's been crocheting for decades and swears by them as well. She bought me a full set of Clover Armor crochet hooks for Christmas one year and they are still being used to this day! If what you're looking for is usage over beauty. There are prettier hooks out there, but none outperform a Clover Amour hook except maybe a Clover Soft Touch (it's a matter of preference). Glides like butter. Just an amazing hook. Worth every penny if you crochet a lot.

I wasn’t gonna buy a Clover hook because of the price Then when I saw you could get them individually. I was really happy. I received it today and decided to try it out. Oh, the yarn glides like a hot butter knife going through butter. It’s great, especially for my arthritic hands, it doesn’t snag on the yarn Like some of the other hooks do. I think the price on the single hook was great value for my money very comfortable.!!!!!!

My favorite type of crochet needle. Feels lightweighted, easy to use, slides in and out of stitches. My hands get really cold using the steel hooks, but not with these. Grip feels good. Hook depth is perfect. Reasonably priced!

The hook is really nice but the handle is a hard plastic and weird shape for when I knife hold my hook, which causes hand fatigue, but I switch between knife and pencil occasionally, so when I hold this pencil it doesn't bother me. But the hook is really smooth and I don't have any snagging when using this. But it is also pretty short and the plastic handle digs into my palm when holding it in knife position.

Initially I thought it was a little small, I have big hands. But once I got used to it, the hook has been amazing. It’s light, so I can hold it very gently so my hands don’t tire out or cramp. The short handle with the lightness also make it very easy to manipulate. I crocheted the entire solar system for my son, with this hook and loved it. I have also purchased the other sizes and find them to be just as good. The hook is smooth, no burrs. The handle is hard but very comfortable and the rubber grip is placed perfectly for my thumb.

These are the best crochet hooks I’ve ever used. They’re comfortable and smooth and my arthritic hands don’t get sore while working with them. Highly recommend!

This hook is lovely and the hook shaft looks and feels just like the hooks from their Amour Hooks. The handle is a little shorter than those same hooks also wider. So it's all down to what you prefer. I have very small hands so it was comfortable to hold, but if you have bigger hands than me, i can see you may require a bigger handle than this hook has. It has almost a brushed metal, very smooth shaft and smoothly glides with yarn. Love the Clover hooks. Always pleasant to Crochet with and makes any project a breeze.
