Super!

My First Action Figure Since I was a Kid!
**(Scroll down for product review if you don't want to read this mini story)**Okay, I will try to make this review short, but I think it will be a fun read for anyone either interested in this figure, or even if you currently own one. When I was a kid, I loved action figures. Like, LOVED action figures. I also drove my parents crazy because even at a young age, I was a perfectionist. I always needed a very specific figure and it was usually ones that were rare. Not rare in a sense of expensive, but they had to be the one I wanted based on whatever IP I was interested in at the time. Often lying to my parents that certain Toys R' Us have it in stock just so I could get a ride to check. We laugh about it now, but I can only imagine how annoying I was. It's important to keep in mind that back then there was no Amazon (I'm 30 years old). There was no way to just purchase the exact one I wanted online. Boy are kids lucky today. Or maybe we were? Depends on how you look at it I guess because when we finally did find the one I wanted, I'll be damned if I didn't play with it for HOURS. I was one of those kids who were very hard to punish. Being sent to my room was nothing because as long as I had my figures, I could entertain myself with my crazy imagination for hours on end.Fast forward a bit and video games started becoming better and I started getting older. My imagination came to life on screen now and while I grew out of playing with action figures, I often looked at video games in a similar fashion. Understanding that they have become what figures were to me. That brought me additional memories of iconic characters such as The Blue Bomber (Mega Man), Sonic, Mario and the rest of the bunch. Now that I'm older, I still love video games and I now love computers as well. Working hard so I can afford all the "big boy toys" but I still get quite nostalgic when I see those characters I grew up on. Accompany that with the advancement in action figures and the ability to display them--I am not hooked on a new hobby and it all starts with Zero. Well, sort of.Like when I was younger, I am a perfectionist and a neat freak. My PC room is cleaned daily with everything in it's place and a place for everything. I also love colorful novelty items so I started to collect little novelties like the Android figures which brought me to wanting something similar, but something that symbolizes all those fond memories. That, in turn, brought me to the D-Brand figures along with other more brands that deliver accurate representations of what I am/was interested in.**(Review of product starts here)**So, while I might not try to "collect 'em all", I would like to start a little display around my already geeked out room. As a result, I started with the figures I was most interested in (Mega Man, Mario and Zelda). Upon opening and playing with the accessories, the first thing I though was "Damn, they didn't make them like this when I was a kid". After realizing how old and cheesy I must have sounded, I inspected the figured.I already watched some reviews of him on some popular YouTube channels like Anthony's Customs (awesome guy, great channel and reviews) and everything they say is accurate. But keep in mind, these guys are collectors. Those little paint marking here or there and the lack of certain movement mentioned I feel is more geared towards the serious collector. While I noticed that stuff and it is prevalent, it is not bothersome AT ALL to those looking just to pimp out their room with some nostalgic novelties. Which I feel is at least half the people buying this stuff. I will also definitely say that if you are debating whether to go with these more expensive articulating figures or some of the cheaper ones--do not think twice about going with these. Especially if they are going to be displayed. The representation and presentation is SPOT ON. He looks exactly as he did in the artwork for the games (past obviously X1). He comes with a total of three facial expressions (one mute, one angry and one angrier with the mouth open). There's three blades (one slashing as we know from the SNES games, one rounded like the first PS game and one pointy like the second PS game) and three sets of hands (one pair to hold the blaster or out like in-action, one pair of fists and one pair to hold the blade in either hand). Each blade has a handle that is removeable so it can be sheathed on Zero's back. The handle's pummel is also removable and re-attachable so it can be put in the hand. However, you will still need to move the thumb over the top part of the handle (not a big deal as the hand is rigid but has some give).Overall, the figure looks amazing to me and there is one major thing to point out if you are watching video reviews on him or any figure around this size. They look much smaller in person so any imperfections you might see in a closeup video, are not prevalent when put on display. He is extremely easy to pose and I was able to get him in a variety of action positions without the need of a stand. I just love how I can switch it up at any time, but as you will see in the pictures, I am going to keep him like so for a bit. The hair can get a little annoying, but you'll get his head positioned correctly and love it.One last thing to note is that the double ball peg in the wrist (the one you attach the hand to the forearm) comes out of the forearm extremely easily. Do not lose it because it is very small. Once you get the hand on it and attach it to the forearm, everything is fine, but I wouldn't play around with it as I feel like it will pop out again. It doesn't exactly 'click' when attached. The hand attaches nice and snug but something about the way it attached back to the arm doesn't feel like it is in all the way. I can't explain it and it could just be my figure, but it literally is my only caveat. That's about it. If you're thinking whether or not to get him but loved him in the games; think no more. Remember, the Mega Man X is over $100 now and I am miserable I was not into these collectible back when it was re-released. Zero type 2 was just re-released recently so I'd say he'll be gone come 2016 and the prices will sky-rocket. I just hope they release X again. Maybe with some tweaks to make him better.I will post here if I think of anything. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Zero Type 2
