Paris PopOut Map

Handy map
I'm a great fan of PopOut maps and have a lot at home. If you haven't bought one before, they are a bit smaller than a postcard and not very thick. When you open them, the map unfolds and is ready for use.Depending on which one you buy, you get a variant on this, some are just one map, but the Paris PopOut has two maps, Le Grand Paris and the Centre de Paris - the second is good for tourism, the first gives you a better sense of place. And another two mini maps of the Tuilleries-Louvre and Les Halles-Beabourg on the covers of the two maps and a tiny metro map. They are small maps, so they are a supplement to other guides or maps but they are incredibly handy and easy to put away. The Paris Metro map is pretty tiny and unless your eyesight is very good you need another but you can pick them up from a Metro station. So a handy pocket map for getting around Paris.

I didn't find it useful
It does all it describes but the detail is too fine for my eyes, even with glasses, and the choice of areas covered (central and central+) seems odd. It's a compromise that might work for some but not for me.

PopOut Fan
I have a collection of these PopOut Maps and bought this as an update to the 10 year old version I was replacing. The PopOut Map is does exactly that, weighs nothing and fits into your back pocket or bag with ease. The two main maps are pretty detailed, with the major landmarks, metro stations, hotels and restaurants. On the back is a metro map which is laminated to prevent it getting spoiled.Of the two maps, the larger one provides you with a more in-depth view of the city, whilst the other map gives you the city and the surrounding arrondisements.

Very handy!
we buy one of these every year when we visit Paris in the summer and at Christmas. it is a bout postcard size when folded. It has a cardboard front and back, which makes it more robust and protects the paper map. it unfolds easily to reveal two street maps, a Paris Metro map, and an A-Z. It is fine in dry weather, but tends to fall apart if it gets damp. They are generally robust enough to last for two-weeks of constant use, but after that, the maps do start to tear, especially along the folds.

Very Handy
Every time I visit a new city I buy one of these PopOut maps. Each of the five maps cover areas of Paris you are most likely to be visiting, and includes a map of the metro stops on the back. All of the main landmarks are included on the map. It fits into a pocket easily and can be consulted very quickly when lost or when you need to check the metro stops - very important in a city like Paris where you don't want to draw attention to yourself as a tourist, especially in the metro.Overall a great purchase and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Paris.
