The remote works well with one caveat. In order to fit with the Ford circuit board, I had to use the new button cover with the old ford back and the circuit board inside. Now it works well and appears to fit well. So for the price of a new case, I was able to salvage my remote key without a major investment.

This is the second case I have bought...the first caused me to lose function of all the buttons on my fob. Apparently, I was supposed to use some piece of mylar? Really? A sheet of plastic is required? No instructions to warn me of this? I don't remember mylar at all. This one doesn't even require a spacer. I just popped my electronics board in and closed it...Bam, got my buttons back!

Perfect own replacement. It seems heavy duty than the oem that came with the car.

Easy to move guts from existing to this one. Works well, but you can tell its a bit cheaper plastic. Will that matter? Not sure.

This product saved me about $440.00. I had tried to replace my key FOB at ACE Hardware for $350. after an hour of trying to program the new key they gave up. I was going to go to FORD and pay through the nose but stumbled across this work around. The picture on the left show the contacts that were failing causing my locks to open and close constantly while driving. All I needed were good contacts. By replacing the guts from my original into the new shell for $10 I got a 100% 'new' FOB. I kept the old FORD back and may use it on the new shell so I'll have the logo, but for now I love my new key.
