Great midi footswitch
The Soleman works perfectly for what I wanted - foot switch control for scenes on my Behringer Air X16 digital mixer. It worked immediately with the presets, and then I was easily able to configure it with screen labels and set lists. I'm at the kindergarten level of using Midi and I had it set up and configured within about 20 minutes of opening the box. It is well made and the configuration software works well.

Flawless!!!
The Soleman flawlessly controls my 2 Eventide H9s as well as providing MIDI Clock for each Preset. I LOVE having the ability to send different messages as a MIDI "Macro". This is what sealed the deal for me. The software is well thought out, and dead simple to use. Don't hesitate, just Get It NOW!!!

Works great with the Neuro Hub
If you have the Neuro Hub then this is a no brainer. If not I would look at cheaper products.

Workings like it should but has a definite learning curve
Workings like it should but has a definite learning curve. Lacks Bluetooth or WiFi to connect to an Android or iPhone device which is a much needed feature.

Easy MIDI
Makes MIDI simple to do. Software makes programming easy, although has some display formatting issues with my 4k monitor.

limited but can be sweet
honest review ofg the sleman is this. depends on your expectations. I wanted a midi controller that would control several pedals via program ch and cc's. it does this great via panel mode and with a 2 button ext footswitch allows bank up/down plus 4 presets per bank (called panels).now if you want to use these different panels and end midi clock out your sol because each panel load reloads a bpm clock making it useless for midi clock. So, I had to get an area disaster design midi clock and now with less to do the soleman allows me bank up/dwn and 4 presets per bank very nice. also, i was only interested in sending macros (to control multiple pedals) and as long as you ignore the stupid preset list (which makes you create presets you cant use if using macros) and song list stuff and stick to macros presets then it works great. supposedly they might make a global midi clock setting but have not seen one yet

This pedal is primarily for guitar stomp boxes that have a midi port. I’m using it for controlling a keyboard, synth, drum m/c and sound module so I can turn them on and off (i wanted to do more - but alas no). I used to do the same job with a BlueBoard & MidiFire but the unreliability of software+iPad+Bluetooth+batteries was too much… hence this seemed a plausible “hardware” solution. This item looks good in advertising but is quite a let down in configurability. Built like a tank, seems reliable thus far, but could do so much more if: a) sysex commands weren’t limited to 50 bytes b) panel count & scenes (read program presets for keyboard players) wasn’t so limited. 63 panels isn’t much if you’re gigging a couple of different set lists. 50Bytes sysex doesn’t go far if you wish to simultaneously message a few pieces of gear with their own sysex headers via a “macro”. To be fair - it does exactly what the manual says it will do, and reliably so, but not a skerrick more so read the manual carefully before buying. Oh and probably fine for stomp boxes with midi interfaces but I don’t have too many of these in my collection.
