I keep my nails natural but in the winter they tend to split horizontally, and then I deal with a split nail that's too low to trim safely, and hurts until it grows back in. I've only used this polish for a few weeks and I absolutely love it! First of all it feels like my nails can breathe, which is important to me. My nails haven't really split since using it and they're growing longer than they ever have before. The color looks like natural nails only prettier, and it's sheer as long as you put on thin coats, otherwise it looks opaque and streaky. It's easy to take off, too, which they recommend each week, but I will enjoy this little ritual because this polish is so effective and pretty.

I thought I was buying a sheer nail polish. It is not. The colour is like bubblegum. Nice but it takes 3 coats. It goes on really streaky. Also the brush is very wide and it is hard to paint within the lines. Lasted 4 days. Did not chip but came away from the cuticles. A lot of money for what it does. I would have thought better of Essie. I am editing this because my second experience was worse Four coats and still streaky and blotchy. The brush is part of the problem. I threw this product into the garbage. Don not waste your money

For easy days of not wanting to go full month on a manicure ie base coat + polish + top coat. This gives a great natural sheen, dried quickly. 2 coats followed by top coat is perfect. Great price point

Very pleased with this nail polish!

I purchased this product in the colour, "In a Blush" based off a co-worker's recommendation who raved about its pigmentation. I've had a love-hate relationship with essie polishes in the past. I love the colour selection and overall quality of the brand, but I often found results to be hit-or-miss due to inconsistent brush cuts and/or sheer colours separating upon application. But, because I got to see how it wore on someone else beforehand, I decided to go for it. Overall, I was impressed with the opacity, given how light the colour was; it took 2-3 coats depending on the nail. I did find that it dried slightly matte(?) and so I put a top coat over it. The brush on this particular colour was great; it was wide enough to provide even coverage. I'm not the best nail painter, so having a good brush on my polishes saves me from a messy paint job. The polish lasted on my nails for about a week with minimal chipping. After a week, I removed the colour to see whether or not the strengthening claims were true. I don't have the most brittle/weak nails, so I personally didn't find that this did anything to improve the condition of my nails. essie TLC in "In a Blush" surprised me and I enjoyed it more than I expected; I'm going to keep this in my summer polish rotation. I don't know if I'd recommend the overall line to someone who doesn't necessarily have weak nails just because I don't know if those claims actually add any value for you. But, if you're someone who's trying to find a polish that could improve nail health or just a nail enthusiast, I'd give this product a shot.
