One year later and my girls still love it
I have to say, I bought this because it was on sale on Prime Day and because it’s Fisher-Price. It was from Santa for Christmas 2020 and looked like it might be fun. Well I have two twin toddler girls who will be 4 in a few weeks and they’ve played with it pretty much nonstop since last Christmas. These are girls who like to dress up as princesses but they also like sharks and pirates. I worried that the characters in this set might be too scary for them but they adore them. They especially like to ride the pirate ship around (it does have solid wheels and supports their weight even though it’s not intended to be a vehicle for them and we always tell them to stop).I think their favorite thing about it is all the great hiding places and mechanisms. They love to pile little treasures like their play jewelry in the hold and inside the front ship shark jaws and sail it all around the room. This is probably the toy that’s given us the most “bang for the buck” in the past 4 years. I thought it was a lark but it has real staying power. I’d be surprised if your kids didn’t love it too!Last point: everything is well made as you’d expect from Fisher-Price and has held up to lots of play and using it in ways F-P may not have intended. And I appreciate that while this may look like a traditional “boy’s” toy it’s not marketed that way and in fact is just as much fun for little girls.Photo shows all of their other toys organized on the “island” for transport on the ship.

Amazing & worth every penny!!
My older sons had the original Imaginex Pirate Ship for the 1990's & they absolutely loved & played with that for so many years & it held up great with no issues! Sadly I sold it, never realizing that we would have another son 25 years later who also would love pirates! So we bought this new imgainext pirate ship, expecting the quality to be less than the original. However, this pirate ship is not only the same great quality but the features are even better than the original & our young son & his big brothers love it!!!! It's very nicely made of good quality materials & the extra sets are so much fun for him to collect as well! It's been a year now & this is still his most played with toy daily! And the best part is that, like the original, it doesn't take batteries!!!!!

Great toy for imaginative play
I was hesitant to buy this toy because of the price point, and because I feared it might be more geared toward preschoolers than my 7 year old. I’m so glad that I took the chance because it ended up being my son’s favorite Christmas gift. It comes assembled, with the exception of a few accessories that need to be attached. It didn’t come with an instruction manual, but I viewed a video overview to get an idea of all of the features. Highly recommend.

Can I hug whoever designed this toy?
So many buttons but NO NOISE! Not too many small pieces. My 4 year old is obsessed. The perfect toy

Fun but no longer swims
When I first viewed this ship I thought it looked silly, but I am not a child who will be playing with it. I bought this for my grandson and he loves it. There are actually quite a few features that keep it fun to play with (hidden compartments, firing cannon, torpedo launcher, and, of course, the shark biting function which swallows unsuspecting pirates, or anything else of similar size). One thing that the ship does not do is flap its side fins (as still advertised on the box). There must have been a revision done to this product which eliminated the moving fins (although the side fins are still present). An additional set of wheels on the bottom of the ship (which activated the moving fins on the earlier version) have been eliminated on the current version. Other than missing that advertised feature, it is a fun toy worth buying.
